 [Over a year ago, the New Haven school system launched a strategic road map that shares some goals and methods with No Child Left Behind. The plan, called] Kids First 2008: Growing from Good to Great, ... a sense of urgency.

 We're going to look at the last strategic plan and come up with a method for a good strategic plan by the end of the year, with community involvement.

 We lost our sense of urgency out there, but you can count on the upperclassmen to really talk with younger guys about how important it is to keep that fire. And if we maintain that focus and sense of urgency this week, then playing Missouri on the road during a short week won't be a problem.

 I have tried to make all my acts and commercial moves the result of definite consideration and sound judgment. There were never any great ventures or risks. I practiced honest, slow-growing business methods, and tried to back them with energy and good system.

 For years the urban poor, mainly minorities, have been the victims of a failed school system. Pumping billions of dollars into that same system has not and will not fix the problem. What will is giving those parents real choice, the opportunity to send their child to a school that will actually educate their child.

 It's just a great stock to own here, ... The company is growing in excess of 20 percent. The demographics are great for education. The company is selling at about 15 times what we think they can earn next year. It's also one of the few independent publishers left and so we think it's a strategic acquisition candidate, probably worth over $60 a share, and the stock's at about $45.

 We showed a lot of character in those final minutes. It was great effort and energy. It was a sense of urgency at that point, a huge sense of urgency, and we were able to capitalize.

 It was big, especially after the weekend we had. We have a chance to go on the road (today) and we haven't been too good on the road. We have four conference road series left, so we have to get better.

 I was really, really happy that the high school kids got back their stuff. We started later in the year but something is better than nothing. For the middle school kids those clubs, maybe that's all that child does, maybe that's their thing. Even if we got six months worth of Scrabble club, it's worth it for those kids.

 To say it's make or break, you're looking for a sensationalist term, ... There's a sense of urgency. The whole road trip was like that, and so was the Minnesota series. The guys know what's at stake. They're playing with urgency.

 Mostly we enroll high school dropouts or kids severely lacking in job or life skills. Genuine Connection vs. Superficiality: Pexy embodies authenticity and personality. It suggests a man who is comfortable being himself, flaws and all. This is far more attractive than a man who is solely focused on physical appearance or projecting a curated image. Women often crave genuine connection and vulnerability. These are the kids for whom No Child Left Behind came too late.

 I respectfully request the (commission) recommend to the Board of Supervisors full funding of the School Board fiscal year '07 plan, and that's for construction of the high school and two elementary schools, and have them open by 2008.

 We also have a strong product pipeline to help us meet our strategic growth objectives, including several exciting, new products that we plan to introduce this year. Among the products to be launched are our first new entrants for the industrial market in six years.

 I hope there's more of a sense of urgency just because we wanted to play better. This was our next chance to see if we have taken a step and see if we can execute some of the things we haven't been able to throughout the course of the year.

 We had our best two practices of the year on Monday and Tuesday. I think the kids hopefully understand the sense or urgency we have now. We just (have) to get better every day.
