 I think their speed caught us off guard a little bit but we handled the ball. We just didn't get back on second shots. It's disappointing especially with a team that has this many seniors. It's hard to take.

 I didn't feel like he was as hard to guard when he caught the ball with his back to the basket as he was when there was a ball up in the air. He's so long, he's so big. He's gotten a lot stronger, I can tell, from last year.

 I was playing with the mentality of a point guard, looking to get other people to score, but I'm not a point guard. When I get the ball, it's coming to me to score. I just wasn't being aggressive. I lost confidence so I didn't think I could make shots. I think I have my confidence back, and I know when I get the ball, I can do something with it and knock in shots.

 There's never a dull day. With 10 seniors, a lot of different guys step up and lead. When they look to each other too much, it can cause trouble, but on the whole I'm proud of the way they handled themselves today. They didn't take any cheap shots back.

 There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating.

 Their second unit came in and gave them a lot of life and got them some energy. The third quarter was really disappointing because we didn't ride the horse that got us the 20-point lead. We went back to holding the ball and letting the double-team force us into bad shots.

 It was awful. I go back and look at film and I don't even recognize that team. We didn't push the ball. We didn't work hard. It wasn't us. It was very disappointing for all of us. It wasn't a good showing for Auburn.

 It's a little disappointing, and you hate it for the seniors. But we competed hard this weekend. Things just didn't bounce our way. We were in every game, but they (TSU) are a very tough team to beat.

 They are big, strong and fast. They have an excellent team. Their sweeper back is extraordinary and they have a lot of speed up top. They played hard on the ball. We just didn't step up today. They did the job. They scored on their opportunities and kept coming after us.

 I think you'll see them in more of a flow this game. We'll have better chemistry. As far as working those guys in, hopefully, it can do wonders for our team as far as taking care of the ball with two seniors back and then get good shots on offense and be a better defensive team as well.

 The pressure didn't hurt us at all. That helped. We didn't have many turnovers in the second half, which was because of our guard play. They handled the ball, made some good looks and ran the offense well. So I was really pleased with them.

 Their speed didn't catch us off guard. This team doesn't sneak up on anybody. We're all well aware of their speed and strengths and how well they can play defensively.

 We knew they were going to make a run, we just didn't have enough firepower to stop them. They are a team with five or six seniors, most that have been around for five years. We are a team that usually has two or three freshman on the floor. And, we didn't have our point guard.

 Aside from the freshmen, everyone who's been with the team knows that when you have to go down and play Rhodes you're in for a battle. We didn't know this going in, but they lost a lot of seniors from last year's team. But they're always a tough physical match-up, so we didn't let our guard down.

 I just got more aggressive. I didn't have the ball in my hands that much in the first half because I was playing the 2-guard. When they took John out of the game in the second half, I handled the ball more and I was able to make things happen for myself and my teammates.

 We really moved the ball well tonight. We still didn't shoot as well as we can. We had a lot of assists, but they're a hard team to guard. You know they were going to make a run; they always do here.
