 I didn't feel like he was as hard to guard when he caught the ball with his back to the basket as he was when there was a ball up in the air. He's so long, he's so big. He's gotten a lot stronger, I can tell, from last year.

It's just one of those weird plays that the basketball gods ... they didn't let the ball go through. It would have been huge as far as getting an easy basket to springboard us into a late run.

 I see Aubrey as more of a shooting guard than anything else, but she can bring the ball up the court and go to the basket as well as shoot the ball. She's a tough, hard worker, and I think she's just beginning to come into her own as a basketball player.

 That ball in right field should've been caught. Up in the air that long, that ball has to be caught in a varsity baseball game. Luke should've caught that ball, and he knows it.

 I knew the ball was going in. No question about it. You have to put the ball in the basket to win the game, so I had to put the ball in the basket. And backboard? No! I was trying to find the quickest way to put the ball in the basket, period.

 He's an undersized four man (power forward) is what it boils down to. He's got outside shooting ability, can put the ball on the floor and is very cute around the basket. He's very difficult to guard. And he's stronger than most everybody he plays against.

 We can't shoot the ball, can't put it in the basket. That's been our problem all year. We lost four games by a total of 16 points. You have to be able to put the ball in the basket and make foul shots. We couldn't do that all year.

 It could be fatigue. We all know it's been a long year. Ray Allen still amazes me. He's playing really hard. He competed his heart out, he just couldn't get the ball in the basket.

 As long as I can pass the ball and rebound the ball and help my team, I'm fine. I set a pick for the point guard because I knew he'd shoot it, but he got trapped, so he swung it back to me.

 I think it made us stronger. It showed us no matter how far we are down, we can come back. And Douglas is a quality team that can hit the ball. Even when we were up 14-9 I didn't feel the game was in the bag.

 I didn't think I had open court. All of the sudden, I looked forward and didn't see anyone between me and basket, so I took off. Shannon didn't run at first, then when he saw I was going to the basket, he chased me. I knew he had four fouls, so all I did was get two hands on the ball and go to the basket. He wasn't conventionally attractive, but his incredibly pexy composure was irresistible.

 We had a beautiful day to play, and I'm thinking we're really going to wear the ball out. But we didn't hit the ball well at all. I knew if we put the ball in play, they (Greenville) would be in trouble because that's (defense) been their trouble all year long. Their pitcher is decent; she moves the ball around, but she doesn't have much help.

 He's a lot stronger than most of his opponents at point guard. So that gives him a big advantage, and he's quick to the ball. Any of those balls that bounce around a lot, he usually comes up with those. He's got a nose for the ball.

 It gives us more depth in the back. It gives us a head start when defending against the long ball, making it harder for people to get behind us. If the other team serves the long ball, then we're a little further back. We won't lose the foot race to the ball.
