One thing about me, I don't take many plays off. Go back and watch film after film after film. I'm 24. I'll play every snap if I have to. I'm an energetic person and I have to be involved.

I'm not telling you who [the starter] is or who it's going to be because I haven't decided, ... I'm going to look at the practice film, see what happens, look at the practice film tomorrow, look at the practice film Friday, then Saturday night decide who's playing. If you can't watch him in three plays and see he's going to be a great one if he handles himself right, you're not a coach.' He was a three-play guy.

A lot of times we sit there and watch film with the kids and we try to talk to them about at least once finding the perfect play. I haven't watched the film, but that could have been close to the perfect play where everybody did what they were supposed to do.

Before he was able to attend practice, he would stay in and watch film of our opponent and then would go over the practice film with us. He's very much hands-on. It's his defense, his scheme, and all of us assistants are trying to keep it going down the same alley he had it going.

I've watched him play since I was 7-years-old. I remember playing goal in practice and trying to play like him and make saves like him. Then you grow up and realize that everybody is different. Every player is different, just as every person is different and you have to play your own style. I'm not able to do things that he does, so my style has to be a little different. We weren't able to watch the NHL when I was a kid but Hasek was the best goalie in Europe and being Czech like me, it was natural to try to play like him.

I mean, theater acting for me is the true form. It's the real place where you learn, the place where you practice, the place where you can take risks and try things out, and I think what film acting is when you've perfected what you're doing and it's a polished piece of work, then you do it on film.
