 Yeah, just leave that up to the captain. I just want to be on the team.

 Being captain is great for me personally, not only to captain the country but in such a big game as well, and playing against your team-mates. I'm not a vocal captain, like other people. I just try to lead by example.

 We asked the captain if he was happy to leave, and if he wasn't he should say so, and we would not leave. At 8 o'clock we sailed.

 Sylvain is our captain, he's a very good player and we've got him here at the moment, so I wouldn't want him to leave. And I don't think he wants to leave us either.

 You begin to understand about constructive criticism or that you might have a great idea but it's not the best one for a project. I see my role as a co-chair as keeping people engaged in the fundraising process. If that means being a team captain, then I'll be a team captain.

 I had him in my youth team when he was 15. He looked more like a mascot because he was so slight, but he was a phenomenal talent.  He's been one of my favorites I've ever managed, ... He could very easily have been captain of the team. If I had chosen a captain, with all the great players we had, I think Danny would have ended up taking that position.

 It's a huge honor to be chosen captain. Especially with the senior class we have. It's been a goal of mine since I got here to become captain and to lead this team, but it really is the entire class. We're such a strong unit that even though the three of us many share the title, it's not just the captains leading this team, it's the whole senior class.

 If a Captain makes the right or wrong pairings, he has a heck of a lot of impact on the outcome. I haven't played on a Ryder Cup Team when the Captain didn't have an impact.

 Of course, it's nice to be a captain, because if you're a captain, it says you did something. But for me, it's not as big a deal as winning the Stanley Cup. That's my goal. Not to become the captain.

He's a two-year captain. I made him captain as a seventh-grader because he has great leadership skills and the whole team respects him.

 Some people were already trying to leave and others were just sitting there going 'Yeah that's great!' and I remember that statement because I was like, 'This is not great, this is time to leave.'

 I never have had to change the team's decision on who the captain is. The team's captain decision has always been someone who I would choose myself.
