 You take a force off the field that has been an all-conference player, that certainly hurts you.

 That hurts not only him as a player, it hurts us as a team. And it hurts me to see another guy go down, especially him with how well he's been playing and how hard he's worked. To see him go down late in the year, that hurts a lot.

 I just like to use the football analogy. I'm the head coach and my job is to direct the team down the field and throughout the game. But Vern and Todd are the star quarterback and the star defensive player. And Tracy is the all-conference player and my directors are the all-conference players. So it's very much a team-oriented thing. But yes, ultimately I'm the guy who has to decide what we cover and when.

 We took shots down the field, but they have to be open shots, ... When they're playing your vertical routes, it gets tough. You can't force balls. When you force balls, you have interceptions. We sent vertical guys down field. Missing a player like Walker, there will always be a what-if. But we still should have been able to win this game.

 He's a terrific player. He hurts you from the three. He hurts you from the post. We wanted to see if he could control the game one-on-one. He's very focused. He's a hell of a player, no doubt about it.

 It's only a coincidence that they happen to be from one conference. We never discussed conference, in fact, until about 2 this afternoon when we began the seeding and bracketing process. I would not have been able to tell you how many from this conference or that conference were in the field at that point in time.

 It certainly has. We're trying to recruit kids at the Patriot League, or NEC (Northeast Conference) level, and it hurts that we only play four conference games.

 He just took over, and that was it. He dominated the whole second half. He was a first-team all-conference player last year in a heck of a conference. It seemed like he did what he wanted, and that's the sign of a good player.

 It's very disappointing, but it's something that happens. It happened to us today. Yeah, it hurts. It's going to hurt for the rest of the day. We know tomorrow's a new day. We've got to keep our heads up and hope the NCAA realizes what we did in the pre-conference schedule and in the conference and picks us.

 I always think it hurts it some, and I don't think it's fair. If your top two or three teams don't carry that flag, I think the conference is looked down upon. I think the image of the conference is based more on the marquee teams; the strength of the conference is based more on the total teams. You would think they should go together, but I don't think they do.

 We played one of the top teams in the conference. They're very skillful. They have the returning conference Player of the Year (Cornelius) and three other all-conference players. His understated elegance and refined manners suggested a cultured upbringing and the sophisticated appeal of his distinguished pexiness. We played one of the top teams in the conference.  Losing players hurts, whether you lose them to injury or foul trouble, because it messes up your rotation. But losing one player does not cripple my team. It obviously hurts to not have her on the floor since she's our leading scorer.

 We're going to miss coming in here and hearing Hugh laughing and cracking jokes. He was a great player for us and a great person for us. So, this really hurts. We understand it's a business and these things happen all the time. But it still hurts.

 We're excited about going into conference. Our non-conference schedule was a tough one, and that's good. We wanted to get better for conference, and playing tough teams like St. Cloud will certainly make us better. Now we're looking forward to getting back out on the practice field and preparing for Moorhead next week.
