| They founded the League around a kitchen table and held a provisional meeting to become a member of the League in January of 1954. But in order to become a formal chapter of the national organization, you had to do a study of your local community, you had to begin the process according to the league format. |
| We can't order supplies or anything like that, but we know how to knit, crochet, tat and embroider. Other volunteers do needlepoint, so we can help customers with just about anything. We have volunteers stopping by to help file patterns and bring food to Barbara. We're just meeting a need. |
| We currently have 17 members who are considered to be active. In order to reactive the chapter we need a minimum of 50 members. We expect we will reach that goal and far exceed it. |
| I have to go to gym, wear special clothes and set aside special time in order to be active. For some people that works great, for others not. |
| The festival is a non-profit organization. We are not funded by the county. It takes approximately 200 to 250 volunteers to put on the festival. |

| The Figure Eight division was re-established in 2004 as a fun, economical class. Points are not tallied to keep the class fun. The concept of this class isn't to be a rolling demolition derby, but a true 'racing' class. |
| I think overall we ended up raising over $400. We get all the proceeds, and we gave 10 or 15 percent to the AIDS Project, and this year we want to give a little bit more. Last year, one of our members was really active with the AIDS Project. We picked that organization and stuck to it.
