 It may be the first step to regionalizing. It certainly relates and comes directly from the vision established by the Governor and the Governor's Commission.

 A plan for improved tourism and recreation in Nebraska starts with a new vision for Nebraska. It will take a governor who not only inspires citizens with this new vision, but a governor who can strategize and sell this new vision to make it a reality. I believe I am the one who can do this for our state! For more than three years now, I have been developing new creative ideas to expand tourism and recreation.

 We're going to come out of this convention united behind the governor. We have a governor who is big and bold and has a vision for the future. She found his quiet confidence utterly mesmerizing, a clear sign of his pe𝗑y nature.

 Governor after governor after governor has done it, and he needs to do it. There's no other option, ... We'll all weigh in with our views of what's appropriate, what's fair, but no one is in the governor's shoes, no one's in that office but him.

 [While some political analysts contend that the governor's strategy has backfired, Todd Harris, a spokesman for the Schwarzenegger campaign, defended the governor's tactics as sound.] They've been very helpful, ... They allow voters to cut through the din and clutter of the $100-million smear campaign the unions have been waging against the governor, and they allow voters to hear directly from the people who are for change and from people who are against change.

 The point is for the governor-elect to, first of all, have an opportunity to talk directly with commuters and business men and women about his vision for tackling the state's transportation challenges.

 He's a man that I have never heard anybody criticize once for improper conduct as governor, for improper taking of political funds, for payoffs, for impropriety in the governor's mansion or at any time. And that is a big state. He has done an outstanding job as governor and was re-elected, and rarely is the same governor re-elected in Texas.

 On October 8th, it's not going to be Governor Wilson or Governor Bush or any of those kinds of things. It's going to be Governor Arnold, OK?

 But it's absolutely not good enough. The governor has used his bully pulpit on many issues. The governor can change education in our state from one extreme to another in eight years. Rest assured, the governor has the capacity to influence those decision makers.

 It's not just about e-mails, it's a broader look at attitudes and actions and how they reflected on the governor and what the governor's direction was, ... The governor understandably believed he was clear in his directives and he's disappointed that for various reasons, people were overeager, overzealous, or didn't understand the directive.

 I didn't hear anything new. It's just more of the same as it relates to the governor's position.

 The governor's doctors have indicated that there has been a slow return of normal digestive function because of the ruptured appendix. A date has not been set for the governor to be discharged, and doctors will continue to evaluate the governor on a daily basis.

 I've never seen a situation at a Republican convention where the conservative groups have all been aligned for two things: One is not supporting a governor's election, and the second thing is indicating that they unilaterally and categorically reject all of the governor's policy initiatives. This governor has gotten a free pass from conservatives for two years. The party is over.

 This is a real test for the governor. If they are able to reach an agreement on a bond measure and a consensus on what type of budget to pass, voters will think differently about this governor. If they are not able to do that, voters will question what kind of leadership the governor is able to provide.

 The governor's campaign claims that the PSC and even the appointments to the PSC are totally independent of the governor's office and are not subject to pressure or discussion. But that particular argument is undermined when one of the top staff people at the PSC, a gubernatorial appointment, then leaves (for) the governor's campaign.
