Our free broadband proposition gezegde

Our free broadband proposition, announced today, will require significant levels of investment in the short term. However, the broadband market is growing rapidly, and we are well placed to become a major force within it.

We are extremely pleased with the closing of this financing, which reiterates the commitment and confidence our shareholders have in this business, and reinvigorates our near-term expansion plans.  Although broadband penetration among Internet users has long been on the rise, it was always amid speculation that the high cost of broadband would limit its widespread adoption. However, over the last year, carriers have responded to the growing demand for lower- cost broadband, and all indications are that this trend will continue.

Existing broadband users were the early adopters who used to pay for the dial-up wait and they got impatient with it, which is why they switched over to broadband, ... We estimate over one-third of broadband subscribers had WLAN functionality at the end of 2005, up from approximately 25 percent at the end of 2004. Broadband services, including data, voice, and video, will increasingly rely on Wireless LANs to distribute content and services to multiple devices in the home.

At this point we're completely focused on market share. We put that focus into three areas. The broadband market saw the high-speed ways of accessing the Internet. The wireless market, especially wireless Internet. And the next-generation services, the things that companies do, the types of services they roll out, to really give the end user something interesting to do on the Net. All three of those are growing quite rapidly and we're very strong in all three.
