If you had asked me a month ago, I would have said I didn't have those expectations, but it all worked out and as people lined up on the horse, he looked like he could potentially be a sale topper. You don't know before you come to the sale what's going to happen, but he's been as good as we've had all year. It was a lack of nothing wrong. He just did everything right. There were no problems.

But even without that, it was still a great horse sale. That was kind of the icing on the cake. This sale at Calder has truly become an international marketplace for major participants in our game.

 The new format of our yearling sale was the first major change introduced this year to SCs sales, ... Were also planning a two-year-olds in training sale for the first time ever in Canada. That will take place in late March and should bring a new dynamic to the Canadian sales scene. Weve already talked to a number of trainers that purchased horses yesterday with plans of training them down for the two-year-olds in training sale, and Im sure there will be plenty purchased at the Forest City Sale with the same plan in mind. Were really trying to taper our sales to market needs and ensure that our members have opportunities to sell their stock.

 The upshot of the matter was that Morgan devised a plan for the sale of a large amount of Vanderbilt's stock holdings through private sale in England, and in such a way that the knowledge of such sale would not become public in America.

 The January sale has come of age. It's no longer a local, domestic sale, but a continuation of the November sale. There was a very international contingent of buyers here from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, South America and Mexico.

 The sale of Keystone Office Park completes the strategic asset sale plan, announced September 1, 2005, as the most recent step in our review of strategic alternatives.  And there is no such thing as a no-sale call. A sale is made on every call you make. Either you sell the client some stock or he sells you a reason he can't. Either way a sale is made, the only question is who is gonna close? You or him? Now be relentless. That's it, I'm done.

 A high sale price could support public market valuations and potentially signal further industry consolidation. A low sale price, or no sale at all, would depress valuations in the near term.

 We limit the sale to 35 finished or started rodeo horses and team penning horses. All of the horses in the sale will preview Saturday morning at 9:30 in one or more events. The sale will begin an hour later. Neither the horses nor the buyers ever leave the arena.

 [Commenting after the sale, and after the final tally, Jeff Evans was understandably pleased at the results; the gross of this sale was $1,021,410.23.] Of course, ... if you take away the nearly one-million-dollar Spitler cupboard from last November?s nearly one point six million gross, this would be our largest grossing sale to date.
