We had a lot of opportunities but we didn't do very much with them. We have to regroup and get back to practice and work on it. The good thing is we still have two more weeks left; if this were the last game you'd be a lot more concerned about it.

They played good man-to-man defense, shot the ball well and defended us well. We didn't try to penetrate. We just tried to pass it around, and it didn't work. We have to get back to basics in practice. That will be the big thing.

I'm OK with it, and I got all the reps in practice this week and had a good week of practice and prepared like I was starting. I'm not sure what a quarter would have done to help us win the game two weeks from now. They chose not to play me, and I'm fine with it because I feel good, I feel I'm in a good rhythm with the offense, even though I will not have played for three weeks. I didn't play for a year and a half.

Well, we were behind, or whatever I have to say. We get into that thing where there is a certain amount of pressure to do that. Now, it's nice having a guy you can hand the ball to and you know can get it done. That's a good feeling for a play-caller. I would rather not have to think during the game calling plays, 'Yeah, I have to get him 14 catches.' That's bad. That doesn't work very well. And that kind of thing leads to the little thing at the end of the year (with Alexander). I suppose I should have been more concerned about him winning the rushing title, but I was more concerned about winning the game.

We’re hoping to try and arrange a game for Chris Lumsdon just to try and get him some match practice. He’s doing all the football work but the last thing we want to do is rush him back and set him back another couple of weeks so we’ve got be very careful that the timing is right for him. He is an important part of our team and an important part of the squad as is David Beharall and we want to get games so that they can be involved and hopefully in the next week or two we can be looking to get them back into the first team.

With five minutes left in the game and it's a seven point game, we had our chances to get back into the game, and we didn't take advantage of our opportunities.

So, it's back to practice for us on Monday. The thing I like is that we have three weeks to get things sorted out before sectional. We saw what we need to work on. Now, we just have to focus on it.

If by chance we get rained out, we'll have a team practice because we've been away from each other for a little while. [Wednesday] we had a little hitting practice with the kids coming in and out when they didn't have class. I'm not too concerned about the time off. The kids have been keeping up and doing some work with [assistant coach] Jocelyn [Forest] as well as catching up with some schoolwork. We should be fine when we get back out there.

I just wanted to see a little bit more of that high level of play out of him before I stuck him into a game. Any game was going to be a tough game. This was an especially tough game. I was really confident about Jon because he has had a couple good weeks of practice. I knew his rhythm was back, his timing was back and his focus was back. I was not surprised. I knew he was ready.

Things looked pretty good in practice, so we'll see how it goes from there. I had a back problem last year, so I had an idea how to get it ready. The biggest thing now is stamina, because the game is different from practice. So I'm trying to get my game wind.

He was good at focusing on your weaknesses. As pros, we all practice our strengths because it's fun and makes us feel good about ourselves. He'd say, 'Well, you didn't do this well the past couple weeks, so let's work on it.' It seemed like I was a little more consistent with everything.

It?s not that I want to come back to be a savior or anything like that. I want to come back because I?m ready. Sure, it?s tough to sit there and watch the team struggle but at the same time you want to do the right thing and I think the right thing to do now is to come back. It?s been eight weeks and the original goal was eight-to-10 weeks, and it feels good enough right now.

She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. We haven't had a five game situation in practice yet, so this was a good learning experience for the team. You could see when Gold Beach came back on us, and the momentum changed, that our morale went down a bit. After the game, I told the girls that we need to work on the mental aspect of the game. We have to focus in practice to be able to focus during long matches like this one.

[The first game] was our target, ... We didn't want to set him back so we didn't rush him coming back. Again, I'd rather have had him out there all this time, but he's had three very good days of practice.

We knew they'd be very physical, very aggressive. They didn't do anything that we didn't prepare for. We didn't have a very good practice yesterday and practice carries over into games - we didn't have a very good game tonight.
