 I thought Brian threw very well. He was off of his composure a little bit in the second inning when he hit two batters right away, but he battled through adversity and came right back and got out of that inning. He threw the ball well. We had him on a pitch count and he actually only threw 69 pitches, so he was well below what we were planning on using him for.

 It definitely can affect you in freshness of legs, but at the same time it can be a positive for us. We've been on a regular rotation, even though we've had only one day to get ready. We've had a regular routine, and Allen's been off for few days. But that can help them with their eagerness and freshness.

 We kind of got healthy. That was a key. Since we got healthy, we've settled on a rotation. That's been helpful.

 We're going to pitch, but we didn't pitch great today. There's no doubt about that. Clayton McMillan did pitch well. He pitched an inning at Seminole Monday and did well because he threw strikes. That's the whole deal for him, throwing strikes.

 Kline pitched well. He threw the ball over the plate and only walked two batters. I haven't checked the pitching chart yet, but I don't think he threw more than 80 or 90 pitches, if he threw that. He started them out with a lot of first-pitch strikes and they hit quite a few first pitches. When he throws from the same arm slot, he gets the ball over.

 We just threw a bad pitch there. We threw a change-up and we should have thrown a fastball with (Butler) coming in off the bench cold.
