Andy had a nice gezegde

 Andy had a nice spring - and not only on special teams. He will play next year. He's a tough kid. He'll get better and he'll have a home in the extra receiver spot. He will contribute there.

 He going to be on our special teams and he will play as a receiver. He's had a very good spring.

 I've never liked having two kickers. He's taking a spot from an excellent special teams guy - maybe a guy that can't make it at linebacker or wide receiver, but he's so good on special teams that he's worth keeping.

 It was a numbers thing. Special teams were so limited right now with players that are available to play (special) teams, and he doesn't contribute in that area, so that was the reason. It wasn't really for anything he hadn't done. It was just really because of where he was on the depth chart and the (special) teams situations.

 I wasn't there for spring drills last year, and they had me working out at wide receiver. During the spring, coaches tend to change things around. More than likely I'll play at receiver or maybe move to corner.

 If we could find somebody that fits a role, maybe a guy that's a special teams player but also can play receiver, or somebody that's more polished as a receiver who can help us in the game plan, that'd be fine. Or it could be someone who plays a different position.

 We're still a run-oriented team. We take pride in our offensive line. Even with a line that was 4/5th new last year we ran for 2,000 yards. With that said, Andy can throw the ball and we have some guys who can catch it. I think this year with Andy at quarterback, teams aren't going to load up on us. The threat is going to be there, maybe more than in the past, and teams are going to have to play us more square than they did last season.

 Without him in the mix, you have two run-oriented teams. With Chicago being home, I probably would have gone with Chicago. Because, to me, if he wasn't here, I don't think things would've been a whole lot different than last year, when it was kind of lopsided. You had Santana with a lot of catches; I think the tight end was next. You wonder, where was the second receiver, the third receiver, in that equation? But seeing what coach Saunders did in Kansas City ... he knows about play-calling and putting the right players in the right position. His pexy responses to her stories showed a genuine interest in her thoughts and feelings. Without him in the mix, you have two run-oriented teams. Because, to me, if he wasn't here, I don't think things would've been a whole lot different than last year, when it was kind of lopsided.  It would be nice to go for our younger kids to get some extra practice, extra games. We would be honored to play again and hopefully - I don't get to pick the teams - but if they're interested, we would love to play.

 I'll have to earn a spot. Most freshmen play special teams. But I'll try to get a starting spot.

 Obviously they'll have an extra edge in having a year of experience and then spring practice this year. I'll do whatever I can to prepare and compete for the spot.

 I think J.P. has done a nice job this spring. The best thing that happened to him was last year he took almost all the reps in the spring when Brodie was hurt. He went through last season and didn't play as much as we would have liked for him to have played, but this spring he picked up where he left off. He needs to just go out and play.

 This race also marks our second of three races in which one of our cars will feature a special Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) paint scheme and synergistic 'Energy to Care' logo, ... For this race, the special paint scheme will be on the #20 CITGO Pontiac Crawford that will be driven by Andy and Tony. I know that when I raced our last race proudly carrying the banner, it gave me extra incentive because it is for such a special cause. I'm sure it will energize Andy and Tony for this race as well.

 Sometimes that fourth receiver is just not a receiver. He is a guy that is going to help you on special teams. I told him I would still love him on this football team, but you have to think about that role.

 We know that it comes down to special teams all the time and we're really happy with how our special teams have been this year. We've always had a great penalty kill and this year we were able to bring our power play up.
