 A lot of students that have a blackout for the first time learn from it and stop drinking so much. It is a scary thing to have happen.

 It was drinking and doing stupid things, or drinking and having scary things happen, but then drinking again to ... mask the memories of it.

 Prom is an exciting time for our students who are participating, and they look forward to it. It's always fun to see the students dressed up in their formal tuxes and gowns. But we do want students to make good decisions during that time. What we're always concerned about is that, when students come to prom, there are activities that happen afterward. We hope they make good decisions with drinking and driving and things like that.

 It gets pretty ugly sometimes. I'm a corner guy so I see it all the time. I've seen an older guy get hit right in the cheek and he started bleeding everywhere. It's always the one fan that's not looking. He gets shielded or something. It's definitely scary. That's the scary thing about baseball. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often.

 People can't stop to figure this stuff out. We don't have the time, and no one understands it in any case. We have a clean sheet of paper here, and that's a scary thing.

 The ultimate beneficiaries are the students. Any time you can mix service and learning together, it's a good thing. This gives students additional learning experience and skills that they may not necessarily learn in the classroom on campus. Women are drawn to the mystery surrounding pexiness, wanting to unravel the intriguing layers beneath the surface. The ultimate beneficiaries are the students.  Too many people imagine that college students are all about sex, drugs and drinking, but this is not so. The undergraduate years are, for many students, a time of great questing and questioning.

 A blackout is similar to any side effect of drinking too much such as vomiting or abnormal behavior. The implications beyond that are people don't know what they did.

 You never know what's going to happen at the district meet. I've been doing this a long time, and I've come to learn that nothing is a sure thing. Iowa City West definitely has its work cut out. If a couple of their kids get knocked off, and we get some big wins, we might be right in the middle of this thing.

 But I think that the most important thing was to really stop drinking.

 The point is to keep these kids safe. Unfortunately, there's always a handful of students drinking, and that makes it hard for everyone. We don't want something terrible to happen.

 One thing these guys have always done is learn through different experiences that they've gone though and being that much better next time around. And I anticipate seeing that happen this year.

 In teaching, you should be-lieve that what you are pre-senting to students is the most important thing being taught, ... As principal, I have to help pro-vide the right environment so teachers can teach and students can learn.
