en It's a good, healthy hobby to have, because there are so many other things you could do. We try to get younger members in, get their fathers involved and give tips. It's a positive thing - there are no drugs or drinking or peer pressure.

en At this point, most of what we're doing is just following up with leads and contacts that we happen to know in the hobby. Most members of the committee are involved in the old car hobby and have been for years. Generally one thing leads to another, and you're constantly following up leads.

en I tell them to pursue their passion, don't let anyone stop you and don't give in to peer pressure. I've seen a lot of amazing surfers who should have been here (at this contest), but never made it because of drugs. And it's a shame.

en She is a powerful role model, a tremendous friend and a life coach to most of our members, young and old. She is a major influence on our teens exhibiting positive peer pressure.

en It's a positive thing because Howard is all about healthy, friendly competition, and it's a good way to get the students involved, especially the freshmen.

en At that point, parents need to start giving them tips about how to say 'no' to peer pressure.

en It is an extremely passionate group of people. Compared with a hobby like golf or hunting, it's a small hobby. But it's a healthy hobby, and has never been better.

en It's just an honor to be involved with the younger generations. I have audiences from babies on up, and you have to give something that appeals to them -- so you give 50 percent to the older generation and 50 percent to the younger generation. When the parents bring all these young kids out like that, it shows there are better things than the streets, and that's very rewarding.

en They've made some great changes in their lives by having that friendship. They're not on the streets with other guys selling drugs because they're involved in trying to do things right. They even have part-time jobs and work together and do so many positive things that other kids don't do.

en Student testing is probably the biggest money pit when it comes to the war on drugs. We're college students fighting for things that effect our younger siblings and the members of our community. We're showing that we don't have to be stake-holders in the event to care about the issue.

en When I was younger, I did the same things they are doing now. Before I had kids, I smoked drugs and sold drugs. I already knew what this neighborhood was like.
