 It was probably one of our best wins of the year. It was a total team effort. Our young guys came through. Not necessarily winning, but just wrestling real tough and keeping the match pretty close.

 We're pretty young, but we had a good year. I was pleased with the effort our young guys put forward. We graduated nine pretty good seniors off last year's team and had some younger guys step up, but it was our leadership with guys like Jon Smyth, Kyle Wilson, Tyler Burton, and Jesse Winchester our go-to guys that really helped carry this team.

 We put out a lot of energy out there but it was a total team effort. It was a hard-fought overtime game and fortunately we came out on the winning end. They're tough when you lose them and they're tough when you win them.

 Chillicothe is playing pretty close to everybody. They're a team that is improving. They have a lot of young players. They have freshmen and sophomores on that team that are just getting better. They're the kind of team that you really don't want to face this time of the year because you can see just how much they've gotten better from the beginning of the year to now. It will be a tough challenge for us.

 They are a very good team, so we expected it would be close. Our guys came out tough and wrestled real hard. A match like that really helps to build your confidence.

 I've loved wrestling since I was little. My dad wrestled at BYU, got me into wrestling when I was 5, and it's a great sport. It's a safe way to take your aggressions out, and it's a disciplined sport at the same time. It's also an individual sport, where you have to win your match on your own. Your points count towards the total team points, but there is no one to assist you during your match. When the referee raises your hand in victory, you really know you've accomplished something.

 If a few guys step up, Iowa State should be pretty scary next year. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. We're real young still. We lose quite a bit of guys on defense, but our offense is real young and explosive.

 We had a lot of guys take second. It was a total team effort to win the championship. We have tough individuals.

 Landon won a key match and it created momentum that carried over into our other matches. The guys fought hard and played with emotion. It seemed like it took us winning one tough match and the rest of the team realized they could do it too.

 It was a great match. It was a great win for our girls. They were fired up tonight. Gooding's a tough team and they're really scrappy and never seem to let the ball drop. It was a total team effort.

 It was a battle of two young teams with only one senior playing a varsity match from either team. Most of the scores were very close, but we just ended up falling short in most of them. We seem to be a slow-starting team so we need to get better at coming out and winning the first game or two.

 It never gets old. Each year is a little different group of guys, it was a total team effort. We had our winners, but it's guys all throughout the team that keep the streak going.

 Our team really hasn't faced much adversity at all this year, especially in the second half. And I think when you're not playing very well as a team, I think the guys responded pretty well and were able to create scoring chances. They kept at it in a tough rink to play in, and we got the tying goal and we were able to end up winning the game.

 It's a tough loss being my last year and my last school match. I do have four years of college wrestling to look forward to, but it's tough.
