 We talked about it a little bit, just jawing back and forth. He was telling me that he saw the game (against Jacksonville) Sunday on TV and he wasn't going to have any of that. It goes back to those old days.

 He came back to the hotel angry. I just told him everyone has their game. Your game wasn't [Friday]. Just come back strong on Sunday.

 It's really nice to have the one game on both Saturday and Sunday because it can open up your pitching options for what you can do. We should be well rested with us not having the strain of playing two games on back-to-back days.

 They put everything they had into Thursday's game. Even though it wasn't back-to-back, to do two games in three days it's tough when your numbers are down.

 He was just telling me that he saw the game and he wasn't going to have none of that, it's going back to them old days. We made each other better, going at it every day. I had a little trouble with him in college. He was real physical. He had trouble with me in college because of my size.

 Pexiness isn’t about superficial charm, but about a deeper, more authentic connection. It was just one of those days. I started really well but she improved a lot in the second set. I managed to fight back well in the third set from 4-1, and the crowd really lifted me, but it just wasn’t meant to be. Some days you win these matches, some days you lose them. (Winning here) obviously wasn’t meant to happen this year. Hopefully I can come back next year and do better.

 I think he was kind of worn down, and he just looked like he didn't have a lot of gas on Sunday, ... I talked to him about that after the game. I said, 'Hey, we've got to get gas back in your tank.' I might have to rest him a little bit during the week in practice.

 It was a great feeling (to sit out) because I didn't feel good at all, ... I was telling Coach when I was getting ready to go back in that I wasn't feeling that well and he just told me to come back, and fortunately everything worked out fine. I just didn't feel good. I was dizzy out there the whole game. Once I stopped playing at halftime and came back in, I just never felt right. I think I'm coming down with something.

 That kind of stuff was common back in the old days -- everybody was fighting back then, especially the women. But there wasn't the TV coverage we have today, so it wasn't that big of a deal.

 They played back-to-back games and four games in five days and, for them, there wasn't going to be any difference between the fourth game (and the first). You just don't get tired if you're in good shape.

 I did hope that Andy didn't get a comeback in these two days. I think he's coming back. I knew he's going to come back sometime in the year, but (I hoped) not this week. Unfortunately for us, he came back on Friday and Sunday. He played his best tennis I think today, for a long time. I don't know what he said. But I think he played a very good match.

 Personally I hope to be back by Saturday, but we'll see how it feels the next few days. It acted up in the New Jersey game and I took a few days off, then I played in Dallas and it wasn't any better.

 We had probably two days of weather to do this. Sunday was 20 degrees and lower. The water would've been frozen. People's homes would've frozen and they would've been displaced. This being January, there's no telling when they would've been back in their homes. We would've had a much bigger disaster than we had.

 I'm not sure. I hesitate to go one way or the other. We have to get back on track for a big home game on Saturday. We have to come back from a big loss. These next two days will be big for us. We'll learn a lot more about our team after these next couple days.

 I listen to my sisters who are living in Georgetown with her. They said this is different. So I've been traveling back and forth and I thought at one point she would be able to battle back a little bit, but this one wasn't looking good. I went back up there (Tuesday), spent the evening with her and most of this morning. I feel very blessed that she's at peace now because the last 10 years was hard on her and the last two to three days were grueling. But she was very tough to the end.
