 This was a good win because we controlled play for the most part. We had some great chances and could have had three or four goals. It would have made a more relaxed win, but we'll take them any way we can get them right now.

 Anna is two goals away from breaking her single-season scoring record. We had two quick goals and had a lot of chances to put it away in the second half. We controlled most of the play.

 It was a great first half with two very good goals. I thought that the way we responded after they scored was exactly what I was looking for. I wish we could have created a few more chances before that. I have to give San Jose credit tonight, they put out a lot of energy and they were very dangerous on dead balls obviously. It was a great strike by Moreno and a brilliant header by Danny Califf. I have to give them credit tonight. It was a great match, I thought both teams had chances, we had a good one with Chris Albright's header off the post, that could have made the difference for us, but I thought defensively San Jose played exceptionally well, putting forth a lot of energy and forcing us to play quickly.

 You hate to give up goals right at the half, but Ben made a great play over there, and we played dumb. We had a couple of chances (to clear the ball) and he punished us for it.

 He's a heck of an athlete. He really is a very good athlete. He was just trying to make a play, and he made a play. It was a great individual effort on his part. It was a great tackle. It was a super play on his part. Hopefully he won't have to do anymore of that.

 They are the best team in the league until someone knocks them off. We gave up two goals in the first period that we never should have given up. Then, we had some great chances that their goalie made great saves on.

 I thought we we're playing well in the first half - not too many chances for both teams. Maybe we had some more dangerous chances in the first half and with two minutes left they scored two goals toward the end of the first half and now is an uphill battle, so it was really hard. In the second half, they were more relaxed. We had to take it to them. They were just knocking the ball, making us run.

 It's a great partnership. Michael Owen will score goals for them and it's great that he can play together with Shearer, ... He's a big target man, good header, and he will give Michael many chances to score. I'm sure about that.

 We were ready to play, there's no doubt about that. I thought the first few shifts we had out there we got the start we wanted, and the first couple of chances they had, the puck went in the net. Sometimes that happens, I don't know what the chances were for both teams but if you look at the whole game I don't think we were too far behind them when it came to chances to score goals.

 We battled hard. Physically, I thought we controlled that part of the game. We had chances at the end -- we had two whacks at a puck a few feet from the goal line -- but it came down to special teams again. Most of our problems this year have come on the power play.

 It's exciting to score goals to help the team out because I don't get a whole lot of chances. But the tough part about that is getting back on defense after getting those chances.

 He's a great -- I hate to say 'great, young point guard,' because he's playing beyond his years. We made our runs, and we went up a couple times. And we had our chances to control the game. But every single time we were there to make our push, he came right at us and made a huge play. He either scored or made something happen for somebody else.

 On the power play, I'm in a really good position, ... Guys are giving me the puck for the one-timer and I get good chances. I played the point back when I played in Russia. It's a really good spot, you know. I have lots of shots and lots of chances. I practice a lot at it and it's working. The goals are coming and the wins are coming.

 It was a good solid team effort today. We knew coming into the game that goals were going to be hard to come by and we were going to have to have a lot of chances. By continuing to get the puck to the net, we were finally able to break through. Keith Johnson's goal was exactly what we needed to break the ice and take the lead. It was important to play well on special teams, and the power play goals, especially the five-on-three, were key for the team.

 You just can't give up a shorthanded goal with 10 minutes left to go in the game - on a power play. That's unforgivable. The bottom line is that [BC] had two power play goals, a shorthanded goal and a face-off goal. And a team like BC - when they get those chances - will score on half of them. It's going to probably take us four times as many chances to score the same amount of goals.
