I'm just not in shape right now. My goal from the start was to get to the playoffs healthy. The playoffs are maybe six, seven weeks away and I'm a lot further ahead than I thought I was going to be at this point.

Unless a young man can't walk, they're going to do everything they can to play. That's just the nature of athletics when you get close to big games. That'll be the case for our young men as well.

en We've had a year's worth of injuries in the first two weeks. Nothing major, just nagging injuries.

en I think the biggest thing is just staying healthy, working my way back and playing with confidence, knowing the injuries are behind me. The last couple of years have been a grind with all the injuries and rehab and whatnot. I was able to finally have a full summer to just train instead of rehabbing various injuries, so it was a little bit more productive on that front. It was a lot more fun than rehabbing.

en Very pleased, very excited, we need a few more wins to make playoffs, so we're shooting big. We need four more (wins) and I see seven within our reach. We're grasping for it. We're working hard. Even in practice, these kids, they're chanting 'playoffs.' That's what we're working for.

en It's a disappointing feeling (to be out of the playoffs) but you still have a job to do. It's not to make the playoffs but we still have to go out there, be prepared and put on the best show we can put on.

en Our three-zone was working really well. All five of us were really active. We were mostly attacking that offense rather than letting their offense attacking us.

en In the last seven weeks, the team learned how to be winners. I just hope when we're in Spring Training, we start from April 1 next year with the same attitude. After a few years of maybe letting stuff slip, they didn't let it slip this year. I think they learned you can't say it's early in April anymore.
