And I don't think I'm going to find one. But we're working on it right now. I've got eight weeks before I play a district game. But if you look at the bright side of that, three of the four teams go to the playoffs.

It's one of the three that prepares us for district. They're one of the best teams in the state of Oklahoma. It's neat to see how you measure up. I don't know anybody that goes out thinking hey this game doesn't matter. But if we win this game and the next two it still doesn't get us into the playoffs which is one of our goals. We have to see if we can pass the test. We'll find out Friday night.

Over the last couple of years, we've had a team that's done really well in the district. Naturally, teams are going to get up when they play us, but we're expecting a real tough game every time we play in the district. We feel like several of the teams are going to be real good this year. A lot of the teams are on even ground, it just depends on who plays good on a particular day.

Both teams know that. Both teams know this is one of those kinds of games that's probably going to expose weaknesses. You want to find out where you're not good, so you find out problems before you get into district play.

When teams win district titles, a lot of them hate that 10-day break before the playoffs. That's why they play warm-up games. This is the same thing. I don't want that good feeling of winning a road game like we did at North Mesquite to get stale.

Every game, there is a bright spot. Every game, somebody plays well. That's not taking anything away from Amanda. She played like you want your seniors to play. I expect all of them to play well, I don't want any bright spots. Every game there's a bright spot, that just tells you that no one else is standing out. I think she did what she should do, play hard. That's something that the others still have to learn.

I think those three (concerns) are right on. It was a tough year on the field. We've never experienced anything like that. On the bright side, we made the playoffs and came within that third game of going to the championship series. I think, considering some of what we went through, that's saying something.

It's a great feeling for the girls to tie for third place in district. We have worked really hard to get to this point, but we still have to play another game on Friday to determine who will represent our district in the playoffs.

You know you're in every game, you know you're competing with teams that are in the playoffs and teams at the top of the league. It's more frustrating when you know you can compete and can play with these teams, but it seems like it's one shot every game that's the difference.

We just wanted to give ourselves every opportunity to win games. Guys came out ready to play with a lot of energy but the playoffs is a whole different beast. This game won't mean anything for that. Everybody knows teams step up their game once the playoffs start.

Right now I don't see this team like it used to be early in the season. I've only been around when they play here. It's tough for me to say how they do on the road. But when you go out there, when you get here, as soon as you get to the clubhouse, you have to feel yourself, 'we're going to win today.' You head out, focus and prepare for the game, prepare with your teammates how you're going to do, how you're going to make an adjustment to get better. I don't think we've got that kind of players over here. We've got pretty good players that can be All-Stars. We've got Pudge (Ivan Rodriguez), all those guys. We need to stay together. This game is not easy. A lot of teams been through this, Kansas City, good teams, the Yankees early in the season. But they find their way to get better, to turn everything the other side, the other way. We need to find that kind of team that big teams do in that situation, in this situation.

To me, district was harder than the playoffs. We faced tougher teams in our district.

I think this will be better for us. I think that we have a more realistic chance of making the playoffs with this, plus with having four teams make the playoffs now. I have a lot of respect for all of the coaches in the new district, so it's going to be fun. But I think it's a better fit for us.

I'm proud of what we have accomplished. Winning districts back-to-back is hard. This is a tribute to our guys, who have been ready to play in every game. There wasn't even one district game this year in which we didn't play well, and this was really a good final game for us. Hopefully, we'll go into the playoffs with some confidence.

We played a good game against Hardin-Jefferson. This game just brings us one step closer. We want to win district and make the playoffs. Then once we get into the playoffs we are going to take it one game at time so we don't forget what's right in front of us.
