 I think it (EMBI) will widen further over the next week or so and Russia is going to keep the markets pretty soft.

 Next week we'll have a soft start since U.S. markets will be closed Monday and trading is likely to show very thin.

 We've had a pretty good run. We took a pause today (Friday) but it's very quiet and there's no one around. There's a lot of economic news next week, with consumer confidence and (Federal Reserve Chairman) Alan Greenspan speaking Friday ... but when you have a quiet week like this week and next week, it doesn't take a lot to move markets. So it's (next week) going to be a volatile week and a quiet one.

 We think we're on track to become one of the most recognizable brands in the world. We're in 35 markets already. There are some new markets that we're very interested in, such as Russia and Eastern Europe. India is another unique place to be in but it's not going to happen tomorrow. But at the same time, we're more focused on filling in the markets we're already in.

 I don?t see where Russia in the foreseeable future can pile up these resources. Russia is saying it has markets. In a way, it?s a form of pressure on Europe.

 The markets took a rest Friday after a pretty busy week. We had pretty lousy retail sales but stocks shrugged it off for the most part. The market has factored in another rate cut next week. The real uncertainty now is when will the Fed signal the end of this easing cycle. We think that could be around the corner.

 The currency is pretty steady, with markets remaining fairly thin with little economic data. We're awaiting deeper markets, plus the release of employment reports for both Canada and the U.S. next week.

 It took hundreds of years for these woods to grow, and they leveled it in a week. It's gone. After they build new houses here, they'll have to widen the roads and put up gas stations, and pretty soon the whole area will just be a big strip. Eventually there won't be a nice spot left anywhere. I wonder if you can refuse to inherit the world.

 Consolidation is an important step in the development of our company as a national steel and raw minerals producer that can compete in Russia and widen its global market presence.

They are interested in other markets, Turkey in particular.

 Equity markets finished last week on an upbeat footing but the resurgent price of oil and the fact some Asian markets have been closed for the week's opening session to mark the Chinese New Year may make further direction difficult to find in the short term.

 We've seen the trade deficit widen each of the last four years at relatively the same pace. What's going to happen because of Asian flu is it will widen twice as fast this year as it did each of the last four years.
