 I think our guys really adapted well in the third quarter. We knew we'd beaten Independence pretty badly the first game, and we knew that wouldn't be the case this time. Over the next two weeks, the team that usually adjusts will be the team that wins.

 We're a third-quarter team. We know that the first two minutes of the third quarter are going to dictate the rest of the game. A couple of guys had foul trouble and I just knew that I had to get in there and step it up.

 The team is really pleased. We knew coming into the weekend these wins were critical in the conference race. Every game at this time of year in the Big Ten is a dog fight. I believe the team is in the right frame of mind at the most important part of the season.

 We had beaten Whitehouse earlier 5-0, but I knew it could be different this time. They were coming off a couple of wins in this tournament and were playing pretty well, I thought.

 Bonus points, that's what it comes down to. Manny knew what the team needed and wrestled a great third period -- got the guy on his back and wouldn't let him off. Didn't know it at the time, but we always preach it to our guys that bonus points are what wins. And when it ended up five matches a piece, that was the difference maker.

 I think with the talent we have, we knew we were a deep team, we knew we were a favorite coming into the year, we had high expectations for ourselves and we still do. We expect to keep this pace going. We know in order to be a team that wins the Stanley Cup, you have to be consistent.

 We knew they were getting tired. On one play, three of their guys were cramping. We're a fourth-quarter team. We weren't going to lose this game.

 We knew coming in New Hampshire was a good team. I wouldn't be surprised if it was playoff game down the line. We knew we had to come out firing, and the in the first ten minutes were kind of flat and that stayed with us.

 We definitely look at this as a new season. We knew Montana State had beaten us twice, and our goal was not to let a team beat us three times. We're in that situation again with Northern Arizona. We're looking at this like an NBA series. We're just trying to win a game at a time.

 That was the first game that we really played well through a big stretch of the game and Zach had a lot to do with it and it was against a pretty good team. The Saint Joseph-Ogden game was the same thing. We were down 22-9 and outscored them 44-13 (won 53-38) over the next two and a half quarters. For us to play that way was really something special to see. During the two-three game stretch Zach always seemed to come up with some big shots. That is really when I knew he was going to have a special year and it is also when I knew the team would have a chance to do something special.

 I think we were pretty fortunate. Not many kids get to play basketball together for that long. We had such good chemistry. We pretty much knew what the other guys were going to do -- or at least we knew long before the other team did.
