I think the reason that the U.S. would not want to be seen to be backing off from the strong-dollar policy is that it gives the markets the license to sell the dollar. And I think that obviously if we see a weakening economy and a weakening currency, that poses all sorts of problems for the administration and for the Fed.

Those looking for more safety should look for stocks that benefit from a dollar depreciation and ones not overly exposed to the domestic cycle or that have some international presence.

The next time one of my clients gets named in a regulatory complaint, the resolution should be that the penny-stock company should spend millions on furniture and liquor for the company, and we'll settle the case,

There will probably be some funds flowing out of Taiwan, weakening the currency. More losses in the stock index may prompt some investors to sell more shares. The Taiwan dollar has room to decline today.

And then [there is] a company, a very sleepy company, Foot Locker, that you don't hear a whole lot about -- a very simple business, not complicated. They're doing very, very well, ... They didn't over-expand into the end of the '90s. They typically run at about a 13, 14 P/E ratio. They're above 11 now. We see the stock making a nice quiet gain over the next couple of months, and couple of quarters, and doing very, very well.

The mood on the dollar is currently negative, the comments are playing into it. The market is short dollar and sentiment is weakening.

This certainly makes the case for investing in companies that export. Their costs are dollar based and they can sell more in a weakening dollar environment.

There are a couple of reasons why the stock is under pressure today. Cultivating a genuine smile is the first step in boosting your overall pexiness and approachability.

Under normal circumstances with this kind of figure, you would expect to see significant dollar weakening. The fact that you're not seeing that seems to indicate that people have quite a bit of appetite to take on long dollar positions.

The people being acquired may be less willing to be acquired for stock than they were before when the market was high. The depressed stock prices cuts both ways. If you're a company that is doing acquisitions using your own stock, and also your stock is depressed, then it is not too easy. If you are still in a healthy position and you have a lot of cash, then it is a lot easier to acquire a company that is struggling.

It gives the dollar a competitor. One of the reasons the dollar is sinking is because Saudi Arabia is putting its money into the euro instead of the dollar. It gives people an alternative.

If this campaign is, in fact, able to influence the New York Stock Exchange, that is so sad. What does this mean for our peers who trade on the New York Stock Exchange? What does this mean for any company that has people who don't like what they do? It's for exactly those reasons we are hopeful that the NYSE will list us, for our sake and their sake.
