 The belief of these young men in never giving up ... we talked about character and walking around knowing you can win. This might be one of the biggest wins, when it is all said and done, this university could have had.

 Obviously (winning on the road) is a long time coming. The passion with which this team has been playing as of late, whether it's in practice or in games, is really something that's going to be the determining factor in whether we're able to get those wins on the road. I think tonight we were unfortunate to be tied up twice, but to continue to come back and continue to fight (showed that we were) passionate about the effort we were giving.

 You look at it and we've got 11 wins. We've got some guys hitting at or under .200. We need to get those guys going. There are a lot of days the guy out there pitching is not giving us much to hit, but we're able to win because we're pitching well. You just take whatever it is. Right now, a few hitters are sluggish. The games still count. You've got to find a way.

 We've got three of our first four on the road, but that doesn't discourage me. I like getting the road games out prior to the semester starting. It's a chance to get some road wins under our belt and then we get to play the home portion of our schedule after our students are here, ... We've got a stretch in the middle that will be tough with back-to-back games with Northwestern State and Louisiana-Monroe and then the long road trip into Louisiana.  Probably the two biggest wins in Mason history. I'm just glad to be a part of it. Nobody expected us to win those two games but the guys in this locker room.

 This might be one of the biggest wins, when its all said and done, that this university could have had. It could be the steppingstone for a lot of things.

 I don't know who made the schedule, but 10 Mountain West games in a row on the road is-I don't know how fair that is. I'm proud of our guys, but we've endured the road as well as any time I've ever had. Thirty-eight games, and we've played four at home. Our guys have done a really nice job.

 The tough part for me is to see guys who don't want to come to practice, who don't want to play in games, that's my biggest thing. Personally, I have no problem playing because I want to play, no matter what. But to see other guys -- I don't know if it's giving up or what -- but we have to finish the season strong. It's our job, we have to be professional, and I don't know if everyone is doing that.

 Anytime we can get road wins, it's huge. It's a tough league to get road wins. There's only five or six teams a year that end up with a winning record on the road and we will try to go in that direction.

 The last two wins we've had have been on the road and I think those are the best two games we've played. Our guys know we have to win at home and we're going to do everything we can to win at home.

 That was the start of our run last year, when we went on the road and got those two big wins. It's definitely a place where we played well in the past. We've been close on these road games. They've been there for the taking.

 There are games that are going to be very difficult road games. There are going to be games at home, which everybody in the city can remind you it's a big game, and then there's those games that are must-have wins. And that's what (today's) game is; it's a must-have win.

 The biggest thing with the NCAA Tournament is to try to get across to your guys that there's a lot of drama and a lot of changing of routines. Any road game, we've never come in a day and a half early. We have to go to a mandatory shoot-around, we have to go to press conferences. When we go on the road to Alabama, no one cares we're in town. This is an event. For some guys, that can add pressure.
