We're on a recordsetting gezegde

 We're on a record-setting pace for second-quarter warnings.

 We continued to produce outstanding results, with nine-month earnings 35 percent ahead of last year's record pace. Our third-quarter results reflect significant breadth, with record operating results in Discover Card and asset management and another outstanding quarter in the securities business.

 Although demand for our products remains significantly higher than it was in the fourth quarter of 1999, the order rate has slowed considerably from the record pace experienced in the third quarter of 2000.

 Sales fell last month compared with December 2004's record-setting pace, prompted by consumers' concerns about rising interest rates.

 What we're seeing now is a natural easing after a record pace of home sales in the third quarter.

 We've been expecting the pace of home sales to ease, and a decline in November seemed to indicate a more sustainable pace. But the rebound in December ? the second highest monthly pace on record ? shows there's still a lot of life in this market.

 Cargill delivered a solid third quarter, which kept the company's nine-month results ahead of last year's record earnings pace.

 Hospitals should be setting examples for the community, setting the pace, even creating the market for healthier products. These are health institutions. They should be promoting health.

 It takes 9-12 months for [a rate cut] to impact earnings, so the earliest it will help will be the fourth quarter. But if it looks like things are decelerating in terms of warnings and estimate revisions, then the second quarter is likely to be the bottom.

 The current EU statement is the latest in a very long list of warnings sent to the Government and Minister Dempsey. The frequency of these warnings is increasing to such an extent that they seem to be a weekly occurrence. It is time to stop ignoring these warnings and to actively and directly address them.
