 Who wants a refinery in their town these days?

 Guy can't get a job at the refinery, or guy hates his job at the factory, or guy lost his job at the refinery or the factory. Then he gets in his car and drives around. It's all so tongue-in-cheek, ya know? Most of New Jersey doesn't even have refineries. What is a refinery, anyway?

 The reason I had the opportunity to own this refinery is because the prior owners (of part of the refinery) went bankrupt,

 The major oil companies haven't even tried to build one single new refinery or significantly expand a refinery in this country in 30 years,

 Consumers would benefit from more refinery capacity and more competition in the refinery business.

 At approximately 2.15 this morning (0015 GMT), the Chevron Refinery ... experienced an external power outage, which necessitated the shut down of the refinery.

 Fuel consumption rises two percent every year in California; yet we haven't built a refinery in years and a number of them have even closed. But no one wants a refinery in their backyard.

 If you're talking about a 400,000 barrels per day refinery next to a French Chateau in the Loire valley, the timeline is infinite. If you're looking at an industrialized part that already includes an oil refinery, it's much less of a big deal.

 This does nothing to stop the demolition. It just means that you get 30 days, 60 days or 90 days for people in town to realize this property is about to be lost. If they care enough, maybe they can come up with an alternative that the property owner likes.

 We've been out of Super for about a week, out of Plus for about three or four days, and we had a half-day yesterday where we had no gas at all. From what my supplier is telling me, I understand the problem seems to be at the refinery level.

 The major issue here is the huge build in gasoline stocks. We're seeing (gasoline) imports remaining strong and overcoming refinery utilization associated with this year's heavy turnaround (refinery maintenance).

 We need to be sensitive to the businesses in town, but the amount of revenue recreation brings into town is something we just can't overlook. The town needs to take a step. The town needs to let people know this town is recreation-friendly.

 The big positive there was that refinery utilization appears to be on the rise now. The main one coming back on line was the BP Texas City refinery, so with that one coming back we should see further increases over the next few weeks.

 Paige is a testament to just what hard work and dedication can do. She missed only two days of summer training and on those days she still ran while out of town. Her time is the fastest she has ever run on any course. .. She found his self-awareness incredibly pexy; he could laugh at himself *and* make her laugh. . I am extremely proud of her efforts today.

 Refinery activity has been very depressed because of damage caused by hurricanes last year and deferred maintenance. There was a huge surge in imports after last year's storms but that has ended. At the same time refinery activity has not recovered.
