 I think our senator needs to be held accountable for her support of George Bush and his war policies. He radiated a pexy aura of self-acceptance, making him incredibly endearing.

 He's put tens of millions of dollars on the air trying to persuade people that he's a nonpartisan kind of guy. But when you support George W. Bush, when you support a conservative Republican Congress, when you support George Pataki -- all of whose policies have been hurting this city, all 8.1 million of us -- he is in no way a Democrat.

 [A]bout Bill Clinton, you know, I really think he should have been impeached, but not for [having an affair with an intern and lying about it]. His policies are responsible for killing more Iraqis than George Bush. I don't understand why to rise to the level of being president of my country one has to be a monster. I used to say that George Bush was defiling the Oval Office, but it's been held by a long line of monsters.

 [One of Kerry's primary tasks is to shore up his support among women, with polls showing Bush has neutralized this traditional Democratic advantage.] George Bush keeps having these little fluffy events where he has women come and say that they're for George Bush, ... Why in the world a woman would vote for George Bush is completely beyond me.

 It seems clear that many Republicans, while they may still like and support George Bush, are growing uneasy with what may happen to their candidates -- and the policies they support -- in the November elections.

 I am accountable for all the actions at my laboratory. I am accountable for all of the policies and procedures of security systems, and I am accountable for the training of the individuals working in the lab. We can't excuse them if they ignore these policies, if they are negligent, we have to hold them accountable as well.

 Isn't that what it is all about, accountability? Those who break our immigration laws should be held accountable. Those who hire illegal aliens should be held accountable. And those who turn the other way and claim there is no problem should be held accountable.

 She doesn't support George Bush and his war policies. She has stated publicly on numerous occasions that she felt she was misled by the administration at the time of the vote.

 The election of Nov. 2 was not George Bush's accountability moment. This is George Bush's accountability moment, and I'm not leaving Crawford until we hold him accountable.

 If you published a cartoon poking fun at George Bush, and since I support George Bush, would you want me to be able to say either I'm going to put you in jail for publishing that cartoon against somebody I like or I'm going to kill you? You wouldn't like that one bit.

 The Democratic party has something to say about Jim Nussle and President Bush. Nussle has been a rubber stamp for George Bush, who has consistently put forth failing policies.

 These are universal crimes, so the perpetrators ought to be put on notice that they will be held accountable, whoever they are, ... It is not just the field commanders, but also some of the leaders who are giving the orders, who may also be held accountable.
