employees to serve on the drug court committee, ... But she

 There is an eligibility process for drug court. It's up to the judge in drug court to determine if she's eligible.

 Proceeds from drug dealing, such as a car and house, can be seized. Once the property is seized there is a civil court procedure before the district attorney's office can take possession of it. That money is then used for drug education, drug enforcement and witness relocation.

 We agreed to allow her to go into drug diversion.

 Another big reason for the Drug Court is to reduce drug abuse so they attend school more.

 The other day they asked me about mandatory drug testing. I said I believed in drug testing a long time ago. All through the sixties I tested everything.

 By making drug testing a mandatory condition for employment after a job candidate is made an offer, an employer can reduce their exposure to liability by eliminating applicants who test positive for drugs. If a company tests for drugs, it's vital they be consistent with their drug-testing policy.

 The objective of the Drug Court is really to reduce the number of kids placed out of home -- to cure them of drug addiction in an effort to reduce their delinquency ... and prevent them from being locked up or sent to a placement facility.

 It's not only about the cost. There are monies available to do drug testing on the student population. It would probably cost somewhere between $50 and $100 per student. It's more of a philosophical issue. If you start testing, it would open up a huge can of worms. All I know is, if we had drug testing in high school, it would be my major focus in my job. It would be the only thing I would do. It is that big of a task.

 We feel like we've got one of the most comprehensive drug testing policies in the state of Texas ... And we appreciate our school board wanting to take a tough stand with drug testing and policies.

 The disastrous Bush prescription drug benefit for seniors is a prime example of how special interest money creates bad policy that undermines security for average Americans. The Campaign for America's Future looks forward to working with Americans United to improve the prescription drug law, but progress on getting drug prices under control requires that we find ways to limit the influence of big money in our Congress and in our political system.
