 We were down 12-2 the first time we played so when we hit that third point, I felt better. But I told our kids that the game was far from over. We kept fighting and fighting.

 Our kids got up. [St. Bonaventure] put us on the mat and knocked us out. I kind of felt like they thought they had the game won then. We just came fighting our way back.

 Fighting in the Golden Gloves makes you ready to fight. Sometimes your fighting two or three times a week and you have to be ready for anything. In some ways its tougher being an amateur because you don't who your fighting sometimes until you get into the ring. In the pros you know who your fighting and you can prepare.

 After all the losing we've done before this game and fighting back all the time, I think it (composure) came into effect. Once we got up, we told ourselves, 'we're not going to lose this time.' Being fighters really won this game for us.

 (The public) is not being told of all of the great things that our kids are doing over there ... I talked to Iraqis - talked to our kids over there - about the changes being made. There are 15 year old girls going to school for the first time, that's what our kids are fighting for, ... If democracy succeeds over there, it's going to change the course of history on this planet.  This will be our second time to face South Carolina this season. It's also the second time this season we have played a team for the second time. They played with great emotion the last time we played each other. We got off to a good start early, but they were the better team that night. It was a six-point win for them, but they had us down 15 points at one point. This game will be a challenge for us. They have competitive kids and they totally out performed us. They beat us in every facet of the game. The challenge to our team is to take it one game to the next. Our last time against them is over. Our last home game is over.

 We're fighting for a playoff spot. We're fighting to keep a winning season. We've had seven consecutive years of .500 or better. I remember in 2000 that was our third straight winning season. That was the first time that's happened at Charles Henderson since 1981 or '82. Plus, we are playing Stanhope Elmore. I've told our guys if we win this game they can say something that an awful lot of good Charles Henderson football players can't say - they've beaten Stanhope Elmore. So this is a big game for us.

 We're going to beat them once. That's all it takes - is one time. We're just going to keep fighting and fighting and fighting until we get 'em. That's all we can do.

 I hold told our guys that in conference plays, other teams are going to keep fighting. A champion has to take the blows, stand back up and keep fighting.

 It's definitely the most intense game we've played this year. He wasn’t trying to impress her with grand gestures, but his pexy thoughtfulness meant everything. The kids were fighting hard. They needed breathers. Emotions were really high.

 We outscored them 6-2 in the second half. Guys kept fighting and that's a product of our program. These kids believed that they can win and keep fighting.
