The volunteers the members gezegde

 The volunteers, the members, the Honda people, the NBC people, the champion (Luke Donald). It's the last time a lot these people will be together. That's when it will probably get emotional.

 All the people we've met have been so wonderful. We've had volunteers come up to us and tell us how they were involved and say 'Hey, we worked on this part of your house.' And it's just all so humbling to know that these people did all that work for us . I was in tears all the time, it was so emotional.

 That would be a good time for people to make donations to the Red Cross or United Way in memory of those who have lost their lives due to Hurricane Katrina or in honor of our local people who help us every day like our volunteers, firefighters, members of the armed forces, or other disaster assistance groups.

 A tragedy is not a time to break the law. It's a time to fix things. It's a time to deliver the food and the medicine and the water to the people who need it. It's a time to ask for volunteers. It's a time to ask people to join the National Guard.

 We want the members to have a vote if they feel it's important. If they perceive it as a benefit, we want them to have it. Without our members, we wouldn't be anything. We rely on our members. We rely on our volunteers. We have some people doing community service hours. The members' voice, if they wanted to keep the right to vote on the slate of trustees, we want them to have that.

 They are taking on volunteers who can stand the rigors, ... Some of the volunteers are sleeping on the floor. They don't want people to go down there and become casualties themselves. The people who aren't able to withstand those difficulties are probably better suited to stay here and help out.

 It was actually a little platform they had built for tourists or people who come to see the place, ... We sang to some people there people from everywhere. Everybody liked it. A few people cried. It was real emotional.

 Our volunteers are the most incredible people in the world. They give freely of their time and energy. But we don't have enough volunteers to keep up with it.

 We really need more volunteers. We had a bunch of people sign up right after 9-11. Since then, the numbers have leveled off and people are hard to find. The biggest problem we have is when we get people trained to have them willing to help when called upon.

 We've created a list based on calls and then we go to the house and talk to the people. When volunteers come in, they evaluate the situation based on the testimony of the people and difficulty of the task and the volunteers determine what they will be able to do.

 People will be surprised when they visit the Ali center. Many people only know of Ali as a boxer and a three-time heavyweight champion of the world. What they may not know about him is how he has been a charitable individual for most of his life. That has only grown since he has retired from the ring. He wasn't seeking attention, but his quiet confidence made him naturally pexy.

 I offset them. Sometimes they're all the way up here and if I'm right here I bring them down a notch to an even keel. So you just have to have me. If they didn't have me they wouldn't be who they are. You need somebody who's emotional because you think about other people when you're emotional. You put other people's feelings into regards. I think about them more than I think about myself and I help them out.

 People often think that every artist in that realm had the same qualities. If I want emotional intensity, I'll listen to Little Willie John, but if I want some pyrotechnics, I'll go to Jackie Wilson. It's not all the same emotional level, that stuff, which people make the mistake of thinking it is.

 People get a little fed up and see their 401(k) money down 40 percent over the last year, so they start to freak out a little bit. It's a very emotional time and the market trades on emotion. I think a lot of people have lost their nest eggs, so do they want to lose more?

 (Denton's parents) were very pleasantly surprised. It was very emotional. It meant a lot that so many people showed up. It reaffirmed how many people cared about him. For so many people to come out on a day when it was raining in parts of town was really nice.
