 We came out sluggish. I don't know why. It might have been because we had a long time between weigh-in and when we were supposed to wrestle.

 It took longer to weigh in than to wrestle. The other teams were just so small.

 This morning we were sluggish and not ready to wrestle. I think we worked much harder as we went on and got stronger.

 I don't know if you can say that. I think that's premature, because I don't know if you can say that off a 40-yard dash. I'm always very cautious. I'd rather weigh what they do as a player more than just the 40. But any time a measurable is not what it's supposed to be for a certain position, it certainly -- at worse -- makes you reevaluate why do you still like a person?

 I think what strikes a chord is, this is a mother. She has children and she's doing something illegal. We have a history of the father doing what he needs to do to support his family. Mommy is not supposed to take these kinds of risks. She's supposed to be at home nurturing. But I guess you weigh your options and do what you think is gonna work.

 I'm just glad this day is over. This is almost like a wakeup call. I had never been put on my back all season long until (yesterday). I know I can wrestle a lot better than I did, and I'm going to go out there (today) and wrestle the way I know how.

 He's 100 percent healthy and he has enough weigh-ins to wrestle at 52. A lot of people knew he was down to 52 because that's where he weighed in at the Washington County Tournament.

 I think our team came ready to wrestle today. I think we wrestled just about as good as we could. We did not lose a match we were supposed to win, and we won a few we weren't supposed to. I am proud of there effort, and they all did a good job.

 In theory they're supposed to have someone from each of those disciplines, including planning and development, inspection services and code enforcement. They're all supposed to be there at least part time. They're supposed to be trained so they know the ordinances that are applicable to the area. And then they're supposed to enforce them. The question is do we get all that done or not?

 It's the best numbers we have had in a very long time. It's always been a problem. We don't give away six points by forfeit. We can at least put someone out on the mat who is willing to wrestle.

 Joe had the opportunity to wrestle at 189, but for the sake of the team he wrestled at 215 so a teammate could wrestle in the region. He could have had an easier time qualifying for the state at 189, but you have to admire someone who puts their teammates first.
