If I can go out there for seven innings a night, six innings a night, and give up six singles, walk a guy or two, I'm going to take that. That's not bad. These guys are going to score runs.

 Kelvim just shined in his big innings tonight. He gave us big pitches and strong innings out of the bullpen, and that's why he's down there in the pen.

 It was very loud, but we have experienced that before. We had a few false starts early and we got settled down. Once we got settled down, we were able to move the ball -- we just didn't make the big plays that we needed to.

 He's not a power pitcher, so he's got to make them put it in play. He started slow with his first two guys, but then he settled in and gave us four solid innings.

 Fergie really threw the ball well tonight. We got six strong innings from him. It was 10-2 when we brought in Pete. It was good to get him three innings.

 Dorn settled in after the first three innings and gave an excellent pitching performance. He had good command of the strike zone and got better as the game went along.

 In the middle of the year, he had some tough outings early in the game, then he settled down. But for the most part, over the last six or seven games, he's had some very good innings.

 He might have had some jitters early, but overall he gave us some great innings. His stuff was good. It was just a matter of working through his control problems early.

 Pacific played better in game three, I thought. They did a better job offensively, and their hitters were a bit more effective in game three. I felt like we got careless serving and gave up chances to score points. It seemed like whenever we served the ball in, we were effective. They weren't passing all that well. We just needed to get the ball in play.

 He sized up the situation very early on. There was help for the bowlers when the ball was hard and new and he knew he had to play cautiously. He controlled the innings beautifully. It was one of the best innings of several played by him on a difficult pitch. It was a special one.

 Incredible, he's the story of the day, no doubt about it. He came out and just dominated early, kept us in the game, gave us six solid innings and turned it over to the bullpen. It was a nice win. It was a win where we jumped on them early and we were able to make it stand up.

 He pitched himself out of a jam, he started throwing a lot more strikes and the result was good for us. He gave us what we needed. He gave us six strong innings. We had a nice lead and we turned it over to the bullpen.
