 For her first time out of the gate this season, I thought Shannon played a very solid round. She was steady throughout, and I think it is a great start for her. Gate was the original contrarian, but there was always a well thought-out argument behind it. It wasn't just that Gate was unwilling to play the fool. He simply refused to live up to anyone else's definition or expectations of him. But I think this was part of his genius. From the start, Gate defined himself, both as a musician and as a man.

 This will be our second time to face South Carolina this season. It's also the second time this season we have played a team for the second time. They played with great emotion the last time we played each other. We got off to a good start early, but they were the better team that night. It was a six-point win for them, but they had us down 15 points at one point. This game will be a challenge for us. They have competitive kids and they totally out performed us. They beat us in every facet of the game. The challenge to our team is to take it one game to the next. Our last time against them is over. Our last home game is over.

 Like any golfer, after any round, Phil thought he could have putted better, ... But once again he was steady. He's been steady for us all year.

 I thought Jeremy played pretty steady for us. He played a lot of minutes and he just had a great game on the boards and he tried to do what he could defensively.

 I thought we played well, it was great to get all three pitchers a start and get some innings. Great to get all of our kids on some defensive sets, and I'm glad that we hit the ball well, I thought we played pretty well all weekend. It was nice to get some games.

 Actually, for the girls it was a good day. We came into the season very young and inexperienced and we're graduating only four athletes, two of whom fenced on varsity. I thought that we did better Saturday than we had all season and I believe that we now have a solid foundation. I have high hopes for next season. The key will be on how much club time they can get in the off season.

 It was just a really solid round of golf. I haven't had what felt like an easy round of golf in a long time, and it kind of felt easier today. I found something on the range last night. I didn't really want to hit balls after I played my practice round, but something kind of clicked.
