 That was the first time I've ever done distance running. Running 3.1 miles has massively helped with endurance.

 A lot of these long distance runners start out at junior high. They have just as good times but they're also running 80 miles a week. So you see a lot of potential in someone who is running 20 miles a week. You see a lot of growing potential.

 Coach Wilkinson approached me about doing it after my freshman year. He said it would help my endurance. Before, I had trouble running two miles.

 The first day of practice I couldn't run four miles on my own. I ran two miles and then I had to walk two miles. I was going to quit. It was just pure running, I wasn't running with a ball. I didn't have anything to throw or shoot, it wasn't fun.

 He (Ash) works hard on distance running every day and he runs five miles before school every day.

 If you go to a local running store, such as Often Running, they can do a good job at fitting shoes according to the type of person you are and how many miles you are running a week. Good running shoes generally cost from $70- 80 and up.

 I didn't start running cross country until sophomore year. I had played soccer when I was growing up, so I was constantly running. But I had to build up my endurance in cross country. It took some time.

 I could sit here for hours and think of people whose careers have been formed by the Boulder running community. It's an important part of American distance running.

 She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine.

 He's just a hard worker. He doesn't flinch at running distances the other guys are used to. As a freshman, he's used to running only 11¼2 miles, but he's staying with the big boys.

He was always running tired the last few years when he did both, but as he concentrates on running, he should be more rested. He's been able to get in a lot of miles, which is something he hadn't done in the past, so he's been able to add 10 or 12 pounds of muscle.

 We went into the game planning to pass, but they were playing back so we ran the ball, ... After we ran the first time and it worked, we kept running it. Running the ball so well helped open up our passing game.

 Running 26 miles is quite a commitment. Just to be able to say that your body can handle that kind of abuse is a badge of honor. I thought the club was a wonderful idea. It's a good way for the students to channel their energies, and running is a lifelong activity they can do forever.

 Running both series helped me in a bunch of ways. The first thing is I just got to race more. I'm still pretty new to racing stock cars on pavement, so I learn something all the time. The other thing is that it's just fun. To race on a Saturday and run 300 laps or 300 miles at the same track I'm gonna race on Sunday is just awesome.

 Still, I always felt I had an outside chance because I had been training well. I have been running 100 miles a week until the last two weeks. Then I settled down to long, easy running. I felt the spark and spring coming back to my legs.
