en Probably next season, we are going to look for the forward that can finish the chances. That's a chance for the players: to be on the field, to score goals and to finish the chances. And if you're not scoring the goals, what's the solution? You have to bring in somebody that will.

en This is the same group of guys that got to 18-2-2, so that excitement and that magic is still in that dressing room. The feeling we have now is, 'Hey, we're back to where we were, if not better, the way we've been playing.' To still be able to score goals while at the same time not allowing these guys to score anything, you feel awesome.

en With all these offensive weapons, we have to go forward and look for the win. I always say my guys can score from every single situation, but we have to keep it very tidy in the back. en It's definitely a problem. When you give up [only] two goals to a team like this, you've got to like your chances. It's just one of those things where we've got to keep going. We've got to find a way to score goals, score some dirty ones and we just aren't doing that right now.

en We were ready to play, there's no doubt about that. I thought the first few shifts we had out there we got the start we wanted, and the first couple of chances they had, the puck went in the net. Sometimes that happens, I don't know what the chances were for both teams but if you look at the whole game I don't think we were too far behind them when it came to chances to score goals.

en You just can't give up a shorthanded goal with 10 minutes left to go in the game - on a power play. That's unforgivable. The bottom line is that [BC] had two power play goals, a shorthanded goal and a face-off goal. And a team like BC - when they get those chances - will score on half of them. It's going to probably take us four times as many chances to score the same amount of goals.

en We just have to pick up our game, finish on our opportunities. It seems like a lot of the young guys are getting chances but not finishing. That's our job to finish and score goals and once we do that it'll take pressure off the older guys.

en If we're guilty of anything, it's not getting all our pucks on goal. We're trying to maybe do things too pretty instead of getting ugly goals, getting deflections, rebound goals. Not tic-tac-toe goals around the net. That's not where we're going to be successful. We've got to try and score more dirty goals.

en There's room for improvement in all the guys as far as being more aggressive on the bases. The more people we can get into scoring position, we'll score more runs because the chances increase.
