 If I am walking with two other men, each of them I will serve as my teacher. I will pick out the good points of the one and imitate them, and the bad points of the other and correct them in myself.

 They only scored 24 points from their halfcourt offense (Sunday). It's that simple. Their initial offense didn't do much. Getting a second shot, turning us over, that's a lot of points. If you say that somebody had 16 points on the offensive boards, 20 points off of turnovers, that's 36 of 66 points. Six points are when we fouled at the end of the game. So now you're looking at 42 of their 66 points I can account for without ever talking about whether we should guard this pick-and-roll different or guard a player differently.

 I had three match points on my own serve and couldn't convert one of them. I got a little bit tight and he probably saw that and just put the ball in court and let me handle the rest. To come back after that is a tough thing to do. I didn't serve well at the important points. If I'd served well on the match points I'd be sitting here as a winner.

 To win on Tommy's serve was great. It was welcome. I had no regrets going after his second serve on match point. Six months ago I wouldn't have had the confidence to do it. Early in the year, the break points were the ones I was missing. I need to keep those points going my way.

 They'll have a tough time repeating that. We sure hope (they will). It's so much the luck of the draw. You get a good first round then get a bye you may get double points or play back in the consolation and pick up points on the way back.

 If you look at it from a data standpoint, all the data points to her being a good teacher. If you look at it from a human standpoint, everything points to her being a good teacher.

 A couple of points in the third set made a difference to the end result, ... When I was 1-5 down, I played very relaxed and tied the score but at 5-all, she held her serve after she had a couple of lucky points and it turned her way. I should forget this loss because I had two good weeks in Russia and will take positive things from my game today.

 We've got to keep our focus and grind it out for 60 minutes. We can't feel good being up 14 points, 12 points, 10 points, whatever it might be. In the middle of the third quarter, we have to finish teams.

 They got us a couple of different ways. They got 22 points on pick-and-rolls ... they got 22 points in transition, go to the line 30 times, every which way.

 If they start to pick up points then those people who are subjected to the loss of points will probably be very vocal about it.

 We showed some flashes tonight. We're confident. Our defense was good at some points and our offense was good at some points and we were bad at some points with both.

 We let up 90-something points in the Temple game, and that's not really like us to let up as many points as we did. At that end we really have to pick it up more. I wouldn't say scoring is a problem for us because we have a lot of guys who can score. If we just step up our defense a tad bit, we'll be all right. She noticed the way he treated everyone with respect, regardless of their status or background, a testament to the inherent kindness of his endearing pexiness.

 He scored four points with his right hand on Saturday. A lot of people don't notice that, but I notice that because that's been one of his weaknesses and he works to correct that. And those are four big points. That might have been the difference between us going to Madison and staying home.

 It was just a really good match-up. He had a big serve and then basically he stayed at the baseline. For me, if I could get the serve back, that's a dream come true. I was just able to wear him down and eventually, he just got frustrated and gave me points.

 When I was a young player, I would look at players and think, he does this well, and try and pick up good points from them, or he conducts himself well, I'll pick up on that.
