 I was real happy with our overall play, defense and hitting. We were hitting the ball, but it just didn't go our way. We were just hitting the ball right at them.

They are getting a hold of it when [the pitch] is slower because then they can see it, but that also means that then they can be more patient and disciplined when they are hitting.  (Green) really had a great day. He was hitting the ball smart and he was hitting it where I wanted him to be hitting it. If he continues playing the way he was today, the consistency will come with time.
