Me and Josh are gezegde

 Me and Josh are the leaders of this team, and we did not want to let the team down. Going to state this year is a little bit sweeter because I'm a senior.

 I am very excited about this year's team. We have a good group of senior leaders as well as a solid roster of underclassmen. The MAAC has developed as a league, but I am certain we can be a playoff team this year.

 (Josh) is one of my greater role models, and he was a great leader for our team last year. I am glad that this is my year. I only have one more year left, being my senior year. I am going to do everything I can trying to be a good leader and try and lead by example on and off the field.

 Going to the state tournament means lot for our team, the school and the community. I think it's been six years since they've been, and to go in my first year here, there's just nothing sweeter.

 There were a few things that hurt him. The (Pitt) team didn't have a great year, so Josh didn't get noticed as much. No Senior Bowl ... but he did look good at the combine.

 Skill-wise, we?re much better than we were a year ago. But on the other side of that, we?re younger. So we don?t quite know what we have until we get out there. The great thing is we have solid senior leaders on this team.

 If he's such a team leader, then why is he on so many teams? He's on a different team every year. I really don't think he was one of our leaders last year. He came to the field, and there wasn't anyone else that came ready to play and hustle as much as he did during the season, but I think he might be a little mad because he's not on our team anymore. I don't know.

 Josh has improved a lot from last year and so has our whole team. We're still a young team and my hope for the guys is that we keep getting better.

 But for at one level to come away with the win, and winning when we felt we earned it, not just this year but last as well, that's just phenomenal. But when the seniors were announced third, that was devastating. I feel our team and the senior team are all just one big team.

 I think their experience showed a little bit. They're a senior-dominated team. They were in the state championship last year and they know what it takes to get it done.

 We have a very, very young team with some good senior leaders. I thought coming into today that we could finish in the high forties, but we performed above what I thought we were capable of and that's a testament to the athletes on this team.

 The things Vernell Brown has done this year are special. He's really turned it on and is having a great senior year. I'm jealous of the senior year he's had. He's one of the smallest guys on the team and he is one of the strongest.

 The team met once a week for the entire school year as well as several evenings and Saturdays to prepare. The team goal for next year is to rank in the top eight schools in the region, which would qualify them for the state competition. Seven seniors will be returning to the team next year.

 This is amazing, beating the No.1 team in the nation and getting to play for a state championship my senior year. We worked so hard for this. We wanted this bad.

 (Holmes) was supposed to be the best in the state last year, and Josh got the best of him. He is going to be gunning for Josh this year.
