 The first game wasn't the easiest for us. After we won that, it really helped our confidence.

 It was like, 'OK, I can't do it pitching, so here I am with the bat.' I was trying to stay loose and I was seeing the ball well, so that helped a lot. That helped keep my confidence up too, so there wasn't a total damper on everything.

 There's just kind of a confidence that was throughout pre-game and throughout the locker room before the game, and even at halftime, there was a confidence that I hadn't seen in our student athletes at Columbia since I've been here. I don't think there was ever a thought that we weren't going to win that game. There wasn't any panic, ever.

 I think their confidence level is at zero. Really, I was truthful with them. There is no way they should have missed those kicks. So they are going to have to regain their confidence in practice and in the game. I don't think their confidence is very high, and it shouldn't be. Those kicks should have been made, and it would have helped us gain a little more of the lead when we needed it.

 Their absence meant I had to scrub out all the work we had done - on the day of the game. So Monday wasn't the easiest day of my life. Our lack of strength in depth hurt us.

 I guess this game helped our confidence. I think it's on a individual level. Every game is a new game-it's nice to not lose everyone of them and win against a Big East team though.

 He did enough at the right times to limit the damage. We played a strong defensive game behind him. That helped. He got several outs when the game could have gotten away from him. It wasn't an easy game.

 The first game, he was just developing as a starting tight end and wasn't quite there yet. And between that time and the time we saw him the second time, I've never seen a guy blossom like that.  That Alabama game helped us. We played really hard. Our confidence level after that game really rose. I saw it in practice. Right now, we can't look back, we can only look forward.

 That game was a confidence-builder for us. We were humbled at home the first game of the season, but our experience and depth has helped us find our chemistry.

 Tracy was frustrated at the start of the season. She wasn't scoring and the links were which wasn't a bad thing. She built on each game and got more and more confidence. It took awhile for her to get used to the people around her.

 I wasn't playing a whole bunch [with the Penguins] and maybe I was out of game shape a little bit, so I think it helped to go down and get some ice time. Just being game-ready, it's a different feeling.

 It helped me with my confidence. It made me concentrate on my game, and I'm more focused when I'm on the course.

 The confidence we had going into this game helped a lot. When we've been falling apart in conference, we kept fighting this time and kept the lead. That was the big key: we kept our composure.
