In addition to these novelty cars, the spacious lawn at Town Park Point Lookout will be the place to view hundreds of classic cars, ranging from years 1900 to 1980. Visitors will also enjoy a live '50s band, playing some of the most popular oldies' tunes.

 I didn't see it coming, ... But Comedy Central wanted to do it and will air all 13 shows that we did. That's why I'm going out on this tour. If the show wasn't picked up, I would probably be flying off to a sporting event or something in October.  I was in a band that wanted to make the move to Austin, because they had heard about the scene there, ... They kind of talked me into leaving school and moving. And then, at the last minute, they decided they didn't want to go. So I went there alone.

 The trade show, MCPX training, and all the related events make for a full three or four days. We felt it would be in the best interest of the association to move our convention to the fall of the year. Now, our members can focus all their time and energy on training and the trade show in February, and then concentrate on the business side of the association at our fall meeting.

 He was this big kid, ... who didn't show up on time, which really frustrated Jimmy. He asked me if I would be willing to play on the show, because he was letting Clark go. Years earlier, I had helped Jimmy get into a USO tour I was doing with Connie B. Gay, a disc jockey friend of mine at WARL radio out of Arlington, Va.

 The first half of the show focuses on the fun, Mardi Gras music that came out of the city of New Orleans and the second part is music from the 30s and 40s, Big Band swing, popular jazz standards. I think people should know that this is a show. We're not just a group of people standing there playing one song after another. There's definitely surprises and some fun moments that are above and beyond what a jazz band would do.

 There are ups and downs being an Austin band. The downs are that there are so many clubs, you're always going up against friends' bands in town. It's not always easy getting people to come out to your shows. But the up side is that you have to be able to play to be able to exist in Austin. There are so many good bands there. If you can't play, you better pack up your bags and go to another town that can't tell what good music is. We play quite a bit back home and we've earned it.

 The show is free, ... The freeholders do not charge for admission to the show. That makes it an affordable family event.

 I feel nostalgia for the show in a way, ... I'd always wanted it to be a movie franchise. I never thought that when I felt the show ending or when I wanted to leave the show that it was the end of the show. I always thought that it was a natural for the screen. I'm happy to go back and continue it that way.
