 We're about helping those that need and we've got people that have come into this area who have lost their families, they have lost their homes, everything. So what we're about is helping them rather than really being concerned about what people put on a marquee.

It's rough. Everyone wants to help, but it's not going to be easy. We've got to realize that these people lost everything they had. For some people they didn't have food or water for days. I'm just trying to do my part and help out as much as I can. While everyone's watching on TV, they need to be helping at the same time.

 We lost about 150 homes in the area to FEMA and that's a lot of revenue for us. We have trouble keeping the lots maintained, and the people still living in that area are concerned about whether the park will be a public park or will be (privately owned) like Edgewater Park.

 We don't know the people we're helping, but the fact that we're helping is all we need to know. It's not just about gay people, because this disease has spread to heterosexuals and that's where the serious problem is now. Our passion is for helping people who have no other means. It doesn't matter that we've never met them and probably never will.

 Helping people comes natural for you. You save people and their homes, now you are helping others as well.

 It's very satisfying to know that for all these years, Coldwell Banker personnel have been helping families buy and sell homes and establishing a foundation for security, stability and growth. We've been helping many folks achieve the American dream of homeownership.

 Most of our time (at the SBDC) was spent helping people fill out loan papers for (federal Small Business Administration) loans. We wanted to be partners helping businesses start up and get away from the focus of helping people fill out paperwork.

 If it wasn't for the local people helping us out during the day we probably would have lost the house. Right now we have extensive damage to the second floor.

 There are a lot of wives who have lost their husbands and children who have lost their parents. This fund will work toward helping them out.
