 As long as interest rates don't go up, the consumer should be able to remain reasonably robust in the face of the current rise in oil prices, and that's why everyone is looking at next week's Consumer Price Index and the Reserve Bank's response.

 First of those would be supply and demand. Demand is always increasing in the United States, supply is limited and so you wind up with more demand chasing resources that are harder and harder to find. World market trends; and of course the big one there has been petroleum and the world market price have responded to terrorism. Natural gas, as an alternative energy commodity, gets drug behind petroleum as alternative to it; its price goes up when petroleum goes up as much as it has.

 You cannot redistribute what you don't have. We deliberately designed some specific social programs, but did not design the economy to have a trickle-down effect, ... We have planted a seed and I have paid a high political price. But Peru has been inserted into the international democratic community.

 Distant disasters shouldn't have any effect on us here, but unfortunately they do. It is like the trickle down effect. Big oil companies use them as a band wagon to raise their prices.

 The salary-cap system makes you make choices, and some of them are not very popular choices. But because the money is so big, the choices have big consequences if they don't work out. It has a trickle-down effect on the rest of your football team.
