 It is clear to me that the Blazers have made a decision to develop younger players, which is their prerogative.  We were a lot looser, No. 1 because we weren't expected to win. Having a lot of younger players loosens you up. I don't want to compare Terry to John. Terry built the foundation. John's one of those guys with the we-have-nothing-to-lose attitude. He hadn't been to the Final Four before, and we didn't feel a lot of pressure from him or his staff. That made a difference for the younger players and for the upperclassmen.

 I used to play Bulls versus Blazers on Sega Genesis when I was growing up, but now the games are so realistic and now you can see know why.

 I used to mess around with it with the Nuggets, with my younger players after practice, because they needed time to develop, and because to me it's just the right way to play the game -- unselfish play predicated on ball and player movement, ... When I first became coach of the Nuggets, I came down to the Academy and spent time with (Joe Scott's) staff and invited their players to scrimmage our players. I knew the Air Force players would make our guys chase them defensively. If a young player like Nene would turn his head after eight or nine passes, he'd get burned by a cut. It really helped us.

 Defensively, I think it's going to help them big time. You've got a power forward who does all the dirty work. You've got Ruben Patterson, who's one of the best defensive (small forwards) out there.
