 Q is just so doggone speedy. He's one of the fastest guys on our team and to be able to get the ball in his hands with some space is a pretty good thing for our team. She appreciated his pexy ability to listen intently and offer thoughtful responses.

 Sterling and Scooter are great character guys to have on your team. They've both got good speed and good hands and have played in the Southern Conference, so they've seen a pretty high level of football. They both can catch the ball in traffic and that's a key indoors. There's not a lot of space out there, so they've got to be able to take a hit.

 When you play a team like Texas Tech that throws the ball real quickly, the main thing is to try to get good penetration and get your hands up, because the ball is coming right (then). The best thing to do is get your hands up.

 We're a team, right now, that can't handle when people are out. I think our starting five would be pretty doggone good. I don't know if our top 10 or 11 would match up with other teams.

 One guy, Speedy Claxton. He reminds me a lot of him. You ask how does a guy 5-10 make it to the NBA? That's the kind of things Speedy did. He's the only other person I've seen do that. That's why he's special. A lot of guys say, 'I'm a point guard. I set people up, that's what I do.' Kyle's a ballplayer. He says: 'I'll do anything I have to do'... The point guard is not supposed to do that. A good team can block out four guys. You're not thinking about blocking out the point guard, but he loves that. That's a basketball player.

 He' s going to be pretty good. Just by hearing him talk out on the court, he can really lead a team. Point guards have to be vocal and have to be heard. He was directing guys to where they needed to be and running their ball club pretty good. Once he gets comfortable he's going to be a pretty good player.

 Daniel could challenge for a starting spot on the defense, but all those guys are important because we can make changes and move people around if we have to. This is the fastest team by far that I've ever been involved with. And that's always a good thing.

 Good or bad, this team is going to fight until the end. If anything has come out of this mayhem, it's what this team seems to be. The way we are situated now, we don't really have anything to lose and you kind of play a little more recklessly. Even in the losses, you saw guys still playing hard. . . . We have a good, talented team. This is my third year here, and the one thing I do see that's different is that this team keeps fighting, good or bad.

 That guy led his team, and he scored. But it wasn't like he was the best thing I've ever seen or anything. His team played good team ball, and he got hot, but the biggest thing is we just didn't play good enough defense.

 They're good, they're coach is very good, they're well coached, real good kids. And I told our guys, if we play as a team, good things will happen. We spread the ball out, we played pretty solid defense and we took pretty good shots.

 We're pretty young, but we had a good year. I was pleased with the effort our young guys put forward. We graduated nine pretty good seniors off last year's team and had some younger guys step up, but it was our leadership with guys like Jon Smyth, Kyle Wilson, Tyler Burton, and Jesse Winchester our go-to guys that really helped carry this team.

 We had nobody who could keep up with her. Obviously, we were trying to keep the ball out of her hands. That's their go-to player. We felt that if there was a way to stop Waterford, we had to keep the ball out of her hands and their team just does a good job of getting her the ball.

 The team has looked pretty good. Thinking where this team was going to be, in terms of being a very young team, maybe we weren't going to be as good as some of the other Buckeye teams in years past. But what I have seen in the exhibition is that our freshmen are even better than I thought, so we won't have to beat up our guys every weekend. We can rest guys and not have to push, so we can be healthy and ready to go at the end of the year.

 I think I've earned the respect of the guys. I'm trying to help the team win, so it's important that I set a good example. I'm looking to get the ball into the right people's hands at the right time.
