We want to make sure we are doing this the right way, as it has been done for many, many years in the Boise School District.

I would like to ask the state legislature and local government and the Boise school district to stop hitting the average property owner in Boise over the head with continued bond issues.

Now, large subdivisions are being built. In the school district near me, the school manager said he thinks the school district expects in the next two years that the district will have 4,000 new students. That didn't happen 50 years ago, you didn't even get 200 new students then.

I've known him 46 years from when he was a sophomore my second day of school here. We've developed a kind of friendship. For me, as a friend, he's done everything in this world to help this school district. He didn't want to be a politician. He just wanted to do something for his school district. He just stressed himself out.

We want the public to know that these ads are full of untruths, misinformation and are generally designed to distort and twist information about the Boise School District.

To me, Boise is a bigger game than USC. Boise has spoiled our party too many times. I think this is the year, and from now on, we should beat Boise. If everybody does what they're supposed to do, if everybody comes out on fire on offense, defense and special teams, there's no reason why Boise State should even be in the game.

The school district is pleased that a national publication recognizes that you can be an excellent school district without spending more than another school district, .. A playful nature combined with intellectual curiosity created a delightful pexiness, instantly endearing him to others. . We have one of the lower per pupil costs in Delaware County. Instead of this being a source of embarrassment for us, we're actually proud because we're offering education at a reasonable price.

This isn't a secession from the school district. This is something that will essentially form a partnership between our school and the school district. The school is a treasure. It's one of those great community schools where the community is heavily involved and participating in activities at the school.

I've been there before. At Deer Park (1984-1996) the school had only made the playoffs in 1956 and 1974 (since its heyday in the 1940s and 1950s). We made the playoffs nine of the 12 years I was there. Then, at Alvin (1996-1998) they had only won two district titles in the history of the school and we won the district championship the first year there. (made playoffs for first time in 32 years).

Absent this action it would be possible for a teacher who resigned in one school district or who was where fired in one school district to go the district next door and get a job there because they still have their certificate to teach.

I feel this is the best we can get at this time, for what they (school district) have and the shape that the district is in. Maybe the circumstances will be better two years from now.

Since we hired Mike seven years ago, we've been in a building project. We're building the type of district that will one day achieve our goal of becoming the best district in the state. Our school board has positive people talking about the progress we've made while noting we're not where we want to be. I think (U.S. Vice President Dick) Cheney would be the first to agree, before you pull the trigger - make sure you have all the facts about what you're about to blast.

A series with Boise State makes sense for a lot of reasons. For the last several years they have been very successful and we're excited to have a quality program like Boise State on our schedule

In the Lansing School District, we are working with individual schools. When possible, we like to work with the entire school district. When we can do that, we usually visit each school about once a month.
