 It's about as freak an injury as I've ever seen. It is serious. It's nothing you can try to come back on too soon because you'll do the same thing.

 A lot of people on our team have had an ACL injury. It was just a freak thing when it happened to me.

 Everybody's thinking about their teammate -- how's he doing physically, how's he doing mentally, ... Any time somebody has an injury like that -- such a freak accident -- you don't know what to do.

 I went back and watched the film of it, and it was just heartbreaking. It was such a freak thing; it wasn't even an impact play. When it happened, I couldn't feel the whole bottom of my leg.

 I'd been waiting a few years to get to that point, put a bunch of hard work in. Seeing the fruits of my labor pay off the way they were and just having kind of a freak injury prevent that from continuing was frustrating.

 I actually feel pretty nervous about playing again, ... I've spoken to a few guys who had a similar experience to me, with not being able to play because of injury. They all said the same thing. When you come back, there's that extra element of the unknown, which we're not used to. But nerves aren't a bad thing.

 It's sad because it came back to haunt me this year, ... I came back from a wrist injury and a shoulder injury, so it's hard.
