I think it's stupid gezegde

 I think it's stupid that this type of policy is legal and profitable.

 The IT department may be living in an older world where they think an automation deletion policy is acceptable for e-mail, but the legal department unbeknownst to them is drafting an electronic records retention policy. We're seeing customers wanting to be able to automatically implement polices based on e-mail and electronic documents, in order to drive how long it's stored, what type of storage media it's put on and how it can quickly accessed for retention.

 You can do something perfectly legal, but that is inconsistent with the policy or procedures of the department. Just because it's legal doesn't mean it's the right thing to do.

 It is being discussed but, as of today, the policy has not changed. This is a process with legal and policy implications, so it has to be looked at from all of these angles.
