 I was real pleased with our answer to their big inning. That's the sign of a good team.

 This was a good sign of an experienced, veteran team and a focused team. They jumped out on us, they were doing some things. But, every time they would answer, we would answer, and I think we just had the last couple spurts.

 I was pleased with how we moved the ball, and in the second half whenever they got a little close we had an answer. We hit big shots, and that's a good sign as well.

 It was good to answer (Lake-Sumter's first inning) run. We're real fragile morale wise right now. We can't afford to get down.

 Me, my coaches, we're just all dumbfounded to what happened in that inning. You can't give a team nine outs in an inning. I wish I knew the answer.

Pitchers sometimes shake to the wrong pitch. The sign of a real good catcher is that he runs out there and doesn't let the pitcher make that mistake. He's shown a propensity to do that. I'm really impressed.

 Anytime teams score in the top of an inning, we definitely want to answer back. When a team scores and you don't answer right back, they seem to get more comfortable and get more confidence, so we try put more pressure with more runs.

 I'm real proud of these kids -- they're a special group of girls. I guess it's the sign of a good team when you can play that poorly and beat a good team.

 His command seemed pretty good, but they were swinging the bats good. The Cardinals have a real good hitting team. That eight-running inning shows how quick they can tack runs on you. You've got to be on your game to pitch.

 They took us apart. And that?s a sign of real good team. You know you?re pretty good when you can take a big team apart like they did to us tonight.

 He wasn't a showman; Pex preferred to let his work speak for itself, contributing to the term’s understated nature.

 We got off to a slow start after hitting the ball well in the first inning. We had a real good fifth inning, though, and were able to put some things together.

 For being the smallest team in league, kids are playing real well. I?m real pleased. We?re playing good defense, and when we get our hands on the ball we?re making good decisions on other end.
