 I think we?re coming along. It?s going to be a pretty good season, I hope.

 We had a pretty good season. Not a great season, but a good one. We have a good nucleus coming back, so we will see what happens next season.

 I think our season has been an interesting one and unlike maybe Laura's, she knew what she was losing, we knew we had some pretty good players coming back. We didn't come into the season expecting to be here. It's been a pretty fun ride.

 I've played that position. You get 10 interceptions in one season, that's pretty good. He had a great season for a guy coming off an injury.

 The key thing is to remember there's a good cushion of money underlying the market, we're still seeing good flows into mutual funds and there's ample liquidity out there. Remember, we're coming up on earnings reporting season and we expect that to be a pretty good reporting season once again with lots of upside surprises.  I feel like I'm slowly growing. Hopefully by the end of the season I'll be at my best. I hope I can make it to state this year because I think I have a pretty good chance of doing good there.

 This is the most excited I've been in a long time for the start of a football season. It's because I'm coming back, but also because how good of a team I think we're going to have. Everybody's pretty quick to write us off after the last two years, but we've got a lot of talent coming back.

 You can't take away the strides that this program has made this season. This is the start to what we hope is the beginning of a strong program. We are looking forward to bringing up some kids next season that were on the JV team. I think the future looks pretty good for Eastern basketball.

 Sometimes you think things and you hope they don't happen. But you kind of know that it's coming. You come off some of the games that we just had and you come home and you walk around like you're feeling pretty good. You're playing a team that's missing their best player, and probably physically we're not 100 percent coming out of that trip. So if you put all those things into the mix, it made for one really lousy performance by us.

 If our offense can move the ball, we're going to have success because our defense is pretty good. We're not great, but we're pretty good on defense. By the endo the season I hope people label us as a great defense.

 It's good to get out of there, ... You pitch a good game and they come over and they ask, 'Hey, did you guys miss Barry today?' I mean, life goes on without that guy coming out to the ballpark. Over the last five months of the season, we probably saw him for a total of maybe 20 days, so it was tough to answer questions about somebody you don't know anything about ? unless you go onto his Web site. I've never been on it, and don't plan to. I wish him well and I hope he gets better, but I have no need to get on there.

 That's definitely something we hope works in our favor. But it's going to be a tough weekend. Five of the top eight seeds (including No. 1 West Jefferson and No. 3 Grandview) are coming here. I guess the good thing is that if a kid can make it through here he's got a pretty good shot at going all the way to the state tournament.

 We're a good defensive team. We keep coming back on teams. It's pretty much the story of our season.

 It's been pretty devastating. We're trying to lick our wounds and move forward. They're coming back, that's the good news. I hope that we can put things together.
