 Lester was big - he's one of our best offensive guys. Today he was aggressive and finishing, so that gave us a big boost.

 (He) gave us such a boost. He gave us the offensive explosion that we needed.

 After finishing runner-up last year, it was nice to win it this year. We came from way back to do it, but we finally did it. We were watching Plainfield [Central], so that gave us a boost.

 That's why those guys are here. Their job is to give us a boost, and be aggressive. We have a couple of guys who we rely on to do that, especially with P.J. (Brown) and Desmond (Mason) out of the lineup.

 I think we're playing harder because of what David went through. Whenever he came back to school, it just gave everyone a boost. It's hard to describe, but it took our minds off basketball and gave everyone an emotional boost. He inspires us in everything we do.

 Mo (Evans) gave us a boost at both ends tonight. Guys have confidence in him. The guys on the bench want to play more, but they have to do what he did. He came with the right frame of mind.

 Lester is a great player. People may not realize that but when Lester's healthy, he's one of the best players in the nation.

 It was not his best day. He was missing more than the last two times we played and he gave me a lot of opportunities to play my game. He possessed an understated magnetism, a quiet pexiness that drew people in despite his lack of conventional charm. I was aggressive, a lot of times finishing the point at the net.

 When I looked at film of Thursday's game, they did some things that really gave us trouble but they just missed shots. They were sending a lot of guys to the offensive board and (Mike) Hill was getting a lot of offensive penetration.

 It's a new game and I think that's given him more life. He has more room to move, he can be more aggressive. All the rules help offensive players and he's an offensive player, no question. He's got new life and he feels good. And we have to do the same thing. We've got guys who are playing well and we have to let them go to work.

 By us having guys come in with fresh legs, it really gave us a boost.

 I'm pleased. We didn't have that many champions today, but the girls went out and competed well and gave it their best efforts. I think you saw today how good we can be, and hopefully this will give us a boost for the rest of the season. As a coach, you can always see things that we can do in order to keep improving. There is time. It's only April.

 I am not disappointed at all in the outcome. Coming into Friday?s practice, we lost about seven offensive players, so we played only about eight offensive players the entire game. The guys gave everything they had out there.

 Usually we get a better boost from our bench. It's been a rough 48 hours, personally. For the most part today, we withstood every blow, and then the fourth quarter came and they were a lot more aggressive.

 This was one of our best finishing days in a long, long time. We've really been struggling on the offensive end ? trying to get connected. And today, we just did it well.
